Moonshine Jamboree. The Butterfly Cage. Building your camp near a Phosphate node and putting a Acid Extractor on it. Kill Snallygaster, Cave Crickets and Yao Guai. Pickup every Chlorine, Coolant, Abraxo, Rat Poison, Antifreeze and Gas Canister you see.

And take over Hemlock Holes Maintainence Workshop you can build 3 acid extractors there.

Also all insects's parts are made of acid. Like the bloatfly gland. Doing Tea time is good because you kill plenty of bugs that contain these. Like bloodbugs, bloatflies, stingwings etc...
+1 for moonshine jamblamablamba. Just turn in 30 and then keep the rest.

Phosphate is fertilizer. It's just an Acid Deposit.

You'll also find turpentine, acetone and makeshift batteries everywhere. It's all over the place if you know what to look for.

Another thing that i do is i have the ammo points ammo converter. I toss in all the .38, .44 etc ammo that i never use and have tons of and i get flamer fuel out of it for free.

Some people complain about the interface being slow and tedious to use which is certainly true. However being able to never run out of free flamer fuel, or any other regular ammo type i need, is definitely worth the hassle.

That sounds like it has the potential to provide the quantity of ammo one needs for something like the flamethrower.

don't go for workshop, they are slow and tend to attracts player to come and mess with your build (for pvp) and probably kill you. Just go for beast hunt and scavange outside resource. Otherwise try to place your camp near an phosphate node. If you still need some fuel, try find me in game xD i usually loot every ammo in the game and store in the ammo box xD i can give you fuel for free, np for me (and probably for a lot of player too xD)

For starters, open pip boy and go into junk tab. You can then open up component level (for items or components you have) and then mark specific components that you want the game to flag for you. This marks any item that contains specific components that you are looking for with a magnifying glass icon. When you hover your cursor over items, and it shows a magnifying glass, you can scrap it for said components.

Besides scrapping junk, there are a number of enemies and events which drop items you can also scrap for acid. Moonshine event is one of them.

Equip your flamer and farm all the ammo boxes, chests, dufflebags, etc that you find or know about. Also loot anything you kill with it ,you'll get back most of what you used. I use a flamer quite often and never bother to farm for acid and oil anymore.

This plus the Butterfly House, which produces acid.

It does. 1st plus the ammo converter covers all my flame thrower ammo needs. You just collect ammo until you fill the largest bracket of the ammo converter (usually 1000 to 1500 rounds)

I have a lot of perks in ammo making as well so if stuck, I make 16000 rounds of 5 mm and convert it into 5000 flamer fuel.
