Probably accidentally picked up a wanted tag somewhere, I did earlier, I probably ended up unlocking a box or something in a workshop while wandering around. With the legendary perk set to instantly unlock things with no mini game, it'll happen from time to time, lol.
2 - You could be near a workshop
3 - You could have tagged them with a shot
4 - They could be using hacked ignore pacifist type weapons (its been a couple years since I've seen someone use one)
5 - You could have died from an enemy and mistook it for the player killing you
There used to be several PvP modes in the game, notably Nuclear Winter, and a "survival" mode where all players were hidden on the map and could kill each other. They were all scrapped. Workshops and Monster Mash are the only PvP remnants left. I hardly see anyone play them except when they give S.C.O.R.E. points. Why bother fighting other players for resources when there are so many ways to NOT fight anyone to get resources?
That's just the worst. When the freaks will put up a locked santatron on a WS. Just throwing their weight around in your face. But if you try to take the WS they come over in their pink and blue Power Armor and oneshot you. Their gaming lifestyle is funny.
Not crouching while in a workshop is inviting PvP
I oblige people often when they do that
How often do you go and take someone's workshop and have them come back and actually have a chance of taking it back? Maybe they re-spawn and come take a few pot-shots and get melted a few more times, but they usually give up and either move on to other things or server hop to get away from you.
If I am in a workshop mood, I'll take 3-4 of them on the left side of the map. Toss out my little setup of resource producing things and a foundation of water coolers. I am not looking for PvP, I am looking to farm defense events and resources.
After re-reading it a few times, I probably should have phrased my original reply better.
-Taking someone's active workshop from them is inviting PvP. (that's not an issue, you're the aggressor, if they want to fight you for it, what happens next is on them)
-But that's not what the person I was replying to was complaining about.
Youre just proving him right in terms of your behavior and attitude.
