Found a plan reseller... people do this?
Always kind of expected it but thought the chances of seeing it were low. I was listing almost every plan from gifts in my vendor at 10c. I'm level 1,200, caps mean nothing to me and my hopes are the plans go to people that don't yet have them. (The only one I'm keeping are vintage water coolers)

The vendor noise was going off non-stop while I was playing, a level 750 was at my camp buying everything. Even duplicates of the same plans. I took note of his name, he went right to his camp afterwards. I followed him and looked in his vendor, and watched as he was adding them, in real time, for insane prices. 5k, 10k etc.

Just kind of sucks and spoils the spirit of Christmas I guess.

This cannot be true. I never knew the VWC plan, had one drop, read it, then two more dropped, so now I have two in the stash. Feels like there have been RNG changes for it also, if it's able to land for me three times in one day.

I list lots of plans for 10c that just sit there for days then someone shows up once in a while and buys everything. Game is so weird.

If you sell something to someone, then it's theirs to do with what they wish. If you're looking for gratitude, then, well....... altruism is not possible, so you'll have to do without that.

They might be reselling the plans, or might be a newbie who doesn't have any of them, and can afford 10 caps/plan. I also sell a lot of plans, and agree the sales/day vary a lot.

Caps do become meaningless at higher levels. Rather than get aggravated at resellers, I just drop 97% of plans into donation boxes. Problem solved. Someone needs caps more than me, so go ahead and flip them! That's how capitalism works- buy low, sell high

Probably doing this from now on. Bought all the serum formulas I care about so nothing to spend caps on and with the 40k cap no point in selling. It just works.

Standard practice in MMOs and standard practice in real life.

Once the plans left your possession, you have no say over what happens with them. If it's that much of a problem, sell them at higher prices, give them away or destroy them.

I mean not like someone will buy those right off the bat sure they will look else where before buying that item.. I mean 5k for that kinda crazy considering there is no real value for caps with exception too buying all the serums and for travel purposes, but maybe I will test it by doing 3k or something next run I do ???!?! I have alts that could use some caps anyway.

Honestly I just been putting stuff into the donation box once I put it in there I don't care who takes it that is the whole point of a donation box..

Yes people do this. They scalp.

That's why I rarely put the same plan/item together.

Stopped selling stuff a while ago. I drop plans etc to various low level players at their camp that are on my team and hope for the best (not all are new to the game). And there are the donation boxes for all. Food and water can be picked at my camp for free.
On my very first play through I was greeted by a very kind and generous player and I try to be as good as I can towards low level players, if they wish so. Merry Christmas to all of you!

This is why you don't list anything for cheap or give it out for free. Community is filled with the cancer of society.

Those people have multiple accounts and characters to store several times the caps. They need to make much caps because they need to SPEND much caps -- to get plans they don't already have, most likely. Those plans are so rare that they have to buy from people who charge 40k per plan, lol. There is a whole racket going on with these things, done by certain circles of people. And that's why they scalp and they gouge, as part of their lifestyle. It's not my style of playing the game nor most players'. But if they want to play it that way, it's their choice. I personally sell any rare plan at 300 caps only.

Eh, I dont see the problem. You set a price for the items that you wanted, he turned around and relisted them for a price he wanted. Doesnt mean he will get said price, but there is nothing wrong with that.

There have been many times Ive bought bobble heads and magazines for under 100 caps only for them to get thrown instantly onto my vending machine for 200 caps and they do sell. Same with resources I have flipped as well.

I do this as some people ask insane prices for more obscure plans that I dont have, or I buy the wrapping papers during the holiday scorch event and I need the extra caps to keep buying the wrapping paper so I can craft my own gifts to try and get what I am looking for.

what people do, to make caps, its literally none of your business. people can charge what they want for anything in game, again, none of your business.
