Headset
Does anyone use a headset? I've convinced myself that verbal communication is the only way I'll get to play through a Daily Op or Expedition. Yet it seems difficult to find anyone with their ears on.

nah. I don't know why, but I have to restart my game to get my headset to work, so I just don't use it when my friends aren't around.

I wouldn't worry about those tho. Just show up and follow the objectives and you'll be fine. Also remember to give people a minute to load in and buff up/use lunchboxes before charging in and you'll be fine.

Most don't bother with it and, out of those who do, a high percentage are best avoided because they are pure cancer to deal with.

For real. On both PC and Xbox, the voice chat (along with many other aspects) is bugged to hell and a pain in the arse to manage.

One of the reasons you don't see voice chat in game is because people are probably using steam/xbox party chat or discord because the in game option sucks.

Every time I use my mic, I get the "No Mic" emote in response. 3,000+ hours across PC, Xbox, and PS. People are allergic to communication and usually just turn it off and play without voice chat enabled. Pretty sad, cuz I always announce that I'm dropping extra plans, scrap, etc after events so people can come up on good stuff. Only time I ever see voice chat users are the 13 yo kids doing "PvP" at Whitesprings Station on console most of the time they are just talking trash and not very well either LMAO.

Rarely do I use a headset. Primarily just to talk with my discord friends.

I would says it's even lazier not to take the time to configure your microphone settings correctly.

Push to talk would really only be necessary for two reasons:

1) You are avoiding your responsibilities and you don't want strangers to hear people yelling at you for being a bum.

2) You are gaming with your young lad on your lap or nearby.

"You" has many usages. Direct and abstract.

In the past, nearly no one would have taken this as a personal attack. These days, however, people are always looking for reason to be offended about something.

In this case, this is a "you" issue.

No guarantee that people will hear you. I have my player sound turned off after running into random people shouting and raging or speaking Russian. None of those things are my language.
