Atomic Shop Pricing
Anyone else feeling like the Atomic Shop pricing is getting a bit too high ? I know the PA skins have always had a higher price tag, but today when I got around to looking at the shop refresh I couldn't believe they wanted 1800 atoms for 3 weapon skins and a display case.

Also, if anyone can refresh my memory- How long ago was it that they raised the prices of Atoms ? I can't remember.

Zenimax (Bethesda) have pricey cosmetics.

Blizzard is the same.

People value them more because they see them less.

Thing is, that isn't where they get most of their sales. They get it from reruns. When that package returns on sale at 1200 atoms, they'll sell twice as many.

Oh so sell high when new then bring back at a discount?

Still crazy, I know most people work damn hard for their money and spend a lot in this game as a hobby of sorts but just seems prices are getting too high. Even at 1200 I still think the skins and display case is way too much.
It's marketing 101. People that "have to have it now" will pay more for stuff. Personally, I very, very rarely buy new things. I wait until the price drops.

This game has the most generous 'free' acquisition of premium currency I've ever seen (admittedly the sample size is small).

Prices have to be hefty to offset the players who don't pay in cash but time. That time still costs BGS money in salary and server upkeep.

From my own experience I've amassed hundreds of dollars of store items without spending anything beyond the initial cost of the game. Each season is giving players the equivalent of ~$20 USD in atoms.

It's about knowing when and what to spend on, delayed gratification.

The free acquisition is pretty limited to be honnest, the ones in the achivement tab are only a small amount for one time only, the ones on the Season board are pretty limited too, but are obtainable multiple times, but only after a new season started
If the game had some sort of weakly Atom quest, it could have been ok, but right now, it's disgusting

20 bucks for 6 months of chores what a steal lol kinda crazy when you look at that way eh
red dead 2 also gave a lot of currency for stupid dailies but they nerfed that pretty hard when they decided to give up on supporting the game any amount outside of providing an outlet to purchase MTX

on the flip warframe just allows for players to trade their currency you may not beable to obtain threw gameplay but they have various ways of obtaining platinum without buying but they all boil down to how can we sell our bs currency

It's pretty much mobile gaming mindset applied to console/PC gaming.

It typically goes two ways:

- You have a bunch of stuff listed for small prices and you spend stupid money if you don't pay attention

- There's no messing around and everything is stupidly high priced across the board.

yeah i don't buy much of anything on the atomic shop, saved up about 2k atoms, but nothing really worth buying, the discounts aren't that great something like 800 a pop for a bad bundle just isn't worth it.

as a player who collects stuff i think the last bundle i bought was the halloween werewolf mask bundle in 2022 , 50% cheaper atom store might interest me but i am not really seeing anything i like
