There is no problem here at all IMO.
Disease is a non-issue anyway.
Thirst is a non issue anyway.
10% AP regen for an hour? That's not even all that useful.
Herbivore in a team gets 25 ap / second BASE regen (which is further affected by your % buffs)
This is the same as all 5 pieces of armour having powered
Live and love 3 makes this 37.5 ap / second BASE regen... I recover 500 ap the literal second the cooldown is complete (its like 2 seconds) after using ap
I always crafting this PIA drink
Honeycomb - real PIA to obtain, I horded hundreds during meat week
Whiskey - Vendors sell it fairly often, I used to just buy it everytime I saw it
Cream - Ditto above
Nuka Cola - Ditto above
Having to find the plants and craft the lab tea first
Then having to find different plants to craft the final product
was really the hardest of all of the crafting food things, and by a literal country mile... but also demonstrably the best
the reason for the long duration was because of how incredibly time consuming obtaining the materials to make it was
I never crafted them because of the difficulty, but this reward really, really pisses me off. It shows a total lack of BGS understanding their own game...
They don't understand the AP consumption of weapons, they don't understand the effort vs. reward ratio, they don't understand balance...
Every update a little more life is sucked out of the game...
I used to craft these all the time and found the honeycomb the most annoying to find as not all honeybeasts dropped any. Starlight berries could be found in The Deep, about 15 plants. Cream and whiskey could be bought and the other flower was in abundance at the golf course in Whitesprings.
For the time it took to craft this tea I find the buffs it provides fairly appropriate.
Gets something nice for free in game, that actually benefits them and everyone else and make life a bit easier for everyone.
Immediately complains about it and "suggests" it get nerfed.
And @ Mooman: Effort vs. Reward? In Fallout 76? Seriously? lol
TL;DR I think it's fine, it doesn't need a nerf
This... I was expecting canned coffee that lasts for an hour, but nope.... I can't sprint continually with just company tea, coffee let me sprint continually for its 30 seconds.
I guess its nice to have the extra regen, but I changed my weapon wheel back to coffee from company tea.
Its not the fact that the item is just "too good", its the fact that it makes stuff basically redundent like said cola nut skill or drinks like lemonade.
People aren't using Cola Nut and Hard Lemonade because they need to. Just like you had no issues prior to knowing Company Tea existed.
I'll stick with Hard Lemonade myself. I already use Party Boy. This allows me to find some amusement by switching between Hard Lemonade for combat AP and Whiskey for carry weight to Fast Travel.
I don't run Cola Nut for thirst either, I run it because it makes Nuka-Cola and its variants a very powerful consumable, Rank 2 makes a Nuka-Grape a rad-scrub, Cranberry's 2% XP becomes 6%, yes, it even makes Quantum's restorative effects more absurd. You can't in good faith, call this making the perk redundant.
I have also tested Lemonade with it, it stacks with Company Tea, meaning that it hasn't been rendered rendered redundant at all, I'd argue it's even better in combination.
EDIT: Minor formatting fix.
EDIT 2: I decided to test Hard Lemonade as well, as predicted, that also stacks with Company Tea.
