After grinding for hours/days/weeks/months on end, you finally get something decent enough to make a build around. Then it gets nerfed and you have to start all over again. Explosive plasma gatlings aren't. Gauss shotguns "hit like a rag doll". Fireproof/Energy absorption ain't.
Build something, enjoy it, and then put it in a display case when it gets nerfed. Oh, Bethesda, we're gonna need a display case for the chainsaw and auto-axe.
No this is a lot funnier. Now if the people affected bought the pieces from a vendor for a bunch of caps (if that was possible), I do feel for them, but otherwise the rage is pure schadenfreude.
I made my first set ages ago put it on a display stand and let it collect dust. After reading this thread I went and got it and went to a nuke zone. Its just plain unmodded X-01 and I was fine.
This is false. After seeing that just now I checked for myself. Walked into a nuke zone with X-01 PA that I personally crafted and rolled. It had zero rad protection and I died within a minute.
Walked into a nuke zone with my duped assassins, ap, wwr PA that has a jetpack arm. Full rad protection. No issues.
No idea what causes the bug, but its definitely not related to duped PA.
The issue is specific to X-01 (Possibly also Strangler Heart but I can't confirm).
What has happened this patch is the 15% radiation reduction effect isn't working. Each part should have that for a total reduction of 90% before resistance calculations.
In the past these reduction effects were part of the paint/skin (a reason so many new paints/skins in Atomic Store didn't have radiation resistance) but this patch they appear to have changed that.
Adding the reduction effects to the base armour makes sense, it allows paints/skins to be made easier and less buggy as they don't need that effect attached. It seems BGS missed the X-01, you can even see this in the pip boy inspect screens.
For now X-01 is bad power armour as you'll take more damage from all sources. When/if it fixed... who knows...
Its also T-60. No rad protection on my main set which is T-60.
Earliest will be 14 weeks from now - and they will certainly break 100x new things when they do it
Unlike the overgrown which was a VERY minor exp buff for a very small minority of players
This bug negatively affects users and so won't be a priority fix by any means...
