Swamp Tofu???

Where am i supposed to get this crap? Wiki says it only comes from strangler pods so i go get some and still no tofu. What do???

Note that you need swamp plants, not strangler pods, which are what you get if no-one which has the quest has visited and made the harvest points bloom.

If there are ever times to use the free re-roll, it's this one. Swamp plants can only be obtained when someone who has the right stage of the "An Organic Solution" quest active has visited the area. A quest, which once complete, can't be picked up again.

Basically, you'd have to keep server hopping and get EXTREMELY lucky, to not only find a server where someone with the quest has visited the area, but also not picked all the blooms, or had someone else pick them all.

So yeah, free, or even premium re-roll this one. Or just skip altogether. It's not worth the time to attempt.

if you actually wanted to complete it, the only thing that makes sense is (IF YOU HAVE the 'budding apothacary' atom shop item, that has a chance to spawn swamp plant) then you sit there and wait many hours probably, collecting all the things it produces until it produces swamp plant.

or you re-roll and do whatever comes up in like 5 minutes

No, that's not how they work. Strangler blooms have a chance to spawn every night, Organic Solution only force triggers them at any time of day, nothing more. Would be pretty silly if important ingredient for Radshields would be only obtainable from other players doing some specific non-repeatable quest. :P
EDIT. Also they are instanced like all crops/plants.

Yeah, it's one of the most misunderstood mechanics in the game, have tried to correct it every time I see someone saying that. I blame wiki, its entry on strangler blooms is very badly written. Also they are really hard to find by server hopping so many just assume they only spawn during Organic Solution. They actually have reasonably high (for FO76) spawn chance, maybe around 30%. The "night time" is also vague af, have found them between 11PM and 4AM, usually don't go looking for them before midnight.

I used to believe this too, I don't know if they changed it or we never understood how they worked, but I found half a dozen yesterday on my private server, and I catch them quite a bit while I'm down there. Altho, with a higher rate at night.

FYI there are a handful of spawn points for these around the Mire, tho all near water, they're pretty much a single pod on a random tree, so they're not reliable for dailies.

Nothing has been changed, they have always had a chance to spawn at night. I use radshields in Scorched Earths and been collecting Strangler Blooms 5 years now.

That's honestly what I thought too, but I never put too much thought into it tbh. When I didn't find any on the server I was on, during the day, I immediately switched to my private server, where it was night. Tho I'd had inclinations before, it never mattered enough to me after Legendary perks came out and I had What Rads? equipped.

I run low health builds with rad buffers so all rad removing perks are a bit no-no, Radshields are awesome stuff although not enough for something like From the Ashes' end part. But provide nice protection against SBQ's radiation.

The advice to re-roll this must be why I was shocked to go to Dyer Chemical and find nobody had looted -any- of the swamp plants/strangler blooms, haha. Nobody was even doing that daily mission.
