Fastest method is the vegetable starch kinda gives a reason to actually making farms and such..

I wish we could get a farm vault for just growing stuff.

There's always some in the Overseer's house, and the Watoga super duper mart always has a large bottle on the magazine rack and counter, and another small on the magazine rack.

Adhesive is a pain because you cannot get it from scrapping weapons/armor. If you cant source enough wonderglue/duct tape out in the wild, you will have to build a vegetable starch megafarm out of your CAMP. Corn. Tatos. Mutfruit (1:1:1) . Water Purifiers (as needed) . No turrets (they eat your budget). Final Destination. Or you can do what I do and mooch from other player's farms around the map as necessary. They cannot stop you.

One of my camps is just a farm.

Get the Turbo Fert fertilizer Grenade Generator and Plan, from Max Reputation, From Foundation. Then with a few plants it becomes, how much Purified Water do you have. Now, if my garden is picked clean, drop one of those with the explosive range size card on and its all back, or 2 Fert Grenades, and I have all my plants ready to pick again.

1) Plant a garden of : Corn, mutfruit and tatos.
2) Have water purifiers for free purified water.
3) (optional and grindy) Try to get max settler reputation and get the turbo fertilizer grenades.
4) Farm your crops and water machines.
5) Once you collected enough of these : equip the super duper perk and craft as many as you can.

Edit : Forgot to mention that the thing you need to craft is vegetable starch.

I've never struggled with adhesive like people seem to and I don't know why they do. It's everywhere, glue, ducktape, and vegetable starch are all pretty common.

There is camp building what give 10 adhesive every 30 min, and vendors have a lot of it.

steel kill enemy loot them and scrap weapon for unlimited steel. Mutants are best for it.

Also giant pitcher plants give you digested goo which you can scrap into adhesive. Just make sure to harvest the plant before it opens and releases the poisonous gas. With green thumb perception perk equipped you get two digested goo. Scrap them and you get 8 adhesive. You can find these plants in Cranberry Bog. Near dropsite V9 for example.
