Are Enclave plasma mods now blocked unless storyline complete?

Saw on YT that other vendors in the bog now have a chance for these but haven't seen any...not even scopes.

*As of the 5th of December 2023, Enclave yellow box mods have a 0.01% chance to drop from events and pip-boy daily in The Mire and Cranberry Bog.
and some vendor have a tiny chance of having them, bot in watoga shopping center is the only one ive ever seen with any

though i remembered seeing them drop earlier in the year from various events aswell maybe someone else has more insight to those drops (like which events or if all)

may have better luck with server hopping and scanning ppls camps to see if they sell mods

Q, : What's the mechanic behind the vendor bots inventory (server hop, purchase or not in the inventory then server hop, etc ... ???

I find one, recently (maybe two months ago) by server hopping at different time of the day ... . I mean, more players = less chances to find one ... .

Is it relevant, I don't know, just my experience ... .

EPG box mods have been available from Watoga vendors as long as I remember, chance is just ridiculously low and if you try server hopping prepare to spend hours to get some specific mod.
Fair warning about EPGs though, AFAIK Beth didn't add more different types of box mods and even though they now also have a chance to drop as rewards like Dezktop said there's just handful of different types of them. If you get some awesome legendary EPG as a drop/reward they are always unmodded, and if you want to make it full auto it's not possible since there aren't any box mods for full auto barrels, you can basically only mod it to a flamer or sniper.
To get full auto EPG with all the good mods you need to farm Dropped Connections and hope you get non-legendary one with the mods ready and then roll it to legendary yourself.

enclave events like bots on parade have always had a chance to drop them so be sure to check them out any time you see them, they are sure to drop once you've spent loads of time to get your first mod :D

Additionally, those events will occasionally reward already modded EPGs - random mods, and not legendary but it's possible to get the flamer that way. Also... accidentally scrapped an EPG flamer mod that way at least once.

Only Dropped Connections can drop EPGs, and I'm almost sure mods can only drop from Bots on Parade but not 100% sure on that.

I used to hop servers at super duper mart, would see scope mods and occasional flamer mod. Lately nothing at all, if they dropped the chance percent it will be almost impossible. Dropped connection chance of flamer was already rare :(

for a while, i see enclave modes less and less on watoga (i dont check other vendors). but i bought aligned sniper mode after this update. so change is low but it hapens. (i sow significantly less enclave modes at wendors for a while not just last week)

by pip-boy daily it should mean dailies like cop a squatter which ppl can end up completing for you, keep eyes open if you see it get completed and what you received. plenty of other dailies in those 2 areas aswell

I scrapped an enclave plasma earlier and learned a mod plan from it. I already knew what you could...

I would assume that you can now learn all the mod plans for that gun

[Update 10th Oct 2023] Flamer Barrels now count towards the Commando Perks

Edit: Long before this Dec 5 update I was getting EPR stuff all over the place. Killed a random scorched up the hill near whitespring station and got one, Also got one off something in the more. I've only ever found flamers in Watoga. I've found the mods for them in the train stations in every region but the forest. I've gotten some from non-enclave events.

i thought that i remembered getting mods from other events outside of enclave ones earlier this year, considered that the date was a typo but then found out there was recent changes which is very nice. and the change for commando perk also very nice.

Here are the things I managed to pull together over the last ~2 months of non-hardcore vendor shopping. Just sort of check when I'm there. Seems to drop equally on Private/Public servers - just a better chance someone hasn't beat you to it on a private server :).
