Any good way to farm hunting rifles to unlock upgrades ?

Probably. But I don't know anyone who uses them beyond the forest.

I think you'd be better off crafting them (need the plan) at level 1 and scrapping them to quickly learn the mods.

If you're open to a different weapon, and for me a better rifle, you can farm the lumber yard in the northwest corner of the map for Handmades and Combat Rifles.

Super Mutants carry hunting rifles a lot don't they? Maybe hit up the penitentiary, West Tek or Grafton steel.

Handmades and Combat rifles have semi-auto receiver too.

Looking for mobs that drop them regularly would be a waste of time.

I recommend doing the Hunter for Hire quest that Duchess offers at Wayward. Somewhere in there, or at end, you are guaranteed a plan for the hunting rifle.

Learn plan and then craft level 15 hunting rifles and scrap them for mods.

At low levels, it's anywhere you will fight Scorched/Blood Eagles/Super Mutants.

You can buy the plans at the responder vendors ( the forest ), a reward for completing the Wayward line of quests, looted from containers, or find the plans laying around.

I used the farm outside vault 76, morgantown railyard, morgantown airport, and morgantown itself - including the high school.

they arent good weapons. assault rifle does far more dps and has more mods. or go find a fixer like everyone else. if you do for some reason just want to collect the mods go to power plants and other areas with scorched they mostly use rifles and pipe guns. but again, just ask some high level for a fixer if youre actually looking for a weapon.

ew, the fixer is disgusting; so are all combat rifles. Let the chad have his hunting rifle.

hunting rifle is animation simulator not a gun.

would be a great quick scene for the show, person firing their grand shot from their hunting rifle at a charging deathclaw. you can think of how it ends

in name alone it can be converted into a ".50cal" its still a bb gun

its fine to use but its not good in comparison to any other weapon even the drill is superior

loot all at events and scrap it all. hunting rifles are extremely common, you'll get all the scrapping mods pretty quick. Just keep in mind that there are mods you don't get from scrapping.

I am soon level 30. I already Get Plasma Snipers.... but ya know ... roleplaying as a cynical cowboy from the 1950's profhibits me of alien technology....
