questions about "Miner Miracles"?

do i have to make this useless excavator power armor just to get the PA station? i don't have enough black titanium and its hard to find and i already have a full T45 legendary armor set, stupid to force someone to make power armor they don't need or want just to get a station for someone to fix their own, im really just trying to get the power armor station without having to pay for it from BOS or whoever else sells it for 1000+ caps.

next question how do you farm black titanium, need 36 or so?

Excavator is very useful to have, with it you can mine ore nodes for materials and it has the highest carry capacity of all power armors. You can get black titanium from killing mole miners and scrapping their gear. They can be a bit annoying for really low level player but use molotovs, grenades etc and try getting close enough so that they stop using missiles. T-45 and shotgun from close range should work just fine.

There are PA stations in the game world in several places. Fort Atlas, Foundation and Artisans Corner inside the Whitespring Mall, which are all free travel locations have them.

You deciding to not want Excavator does not make it stupid or useless. We all had to do that quest to get the plan.

It is still a very good set due to the +100 carry weight bonus and the extra ore mining ability it gets as built in bonuses. Sets without built in bonuses, like T45 are the ones that are really a waste of time. Nothing wrong with them but why use them when there is something much better for free from the quest?

my t-45 has legendary parts so its not basic by any means, ill have to try the excavator armor, just gonna be hard sourcing the black titanium. thanks for the info

After you learn the Excavator plans they can drop as legendary too, also you can naturally roll them yourself if you have legendary modules. It's not that awesome battle armor due to lack of jetpack mod, but it is very useful tool for mining and carrying stuff.
Just as a tip you can farm mole miners for black titanium in Kerwood Mine, it's instanced location and spawns new set of enemies very quickly after you exit it. Part of the mine is behind underwater shafts and tunnels though so equip Aquaboy/girl if you have it.

Black Titanium without effort ?

Try Belching Betty mine (south to The Rusty Pick), yesterday i went there and mined about 30 BT there. There are only a handfull of common burned humanoids to kill on the way.

Problem is that to get any reasonable amounts out of nodes you need Excavator, which is why OP is looking for BT.. :D You need 3 ore and 4 acid to get 2 BT scrap, if OP needs 36 BT scraps without Excavator that would require 54 ore nodes and I'm almost sure BB doesn't have quite that many.

Sure, but you can do it several times and there are many spots around to get BT.

I am playing for 2 months, i raise 5 chars alternatively. I bought a PA Station for each in a few days.

Refusing to pay a little more than 1K to get one is just out of my common sense, but OP has his own reasons, so i respect this, but..

The titanium isn't hard to get. If you've been following the guidance of the quests up until now and done most of your adventuring in the forrest and toxic valley, you won't have much yet, but it's easy to get pretty much everywhere else.
