Where do my fusion cores disappear to?
I have a Fusion Core Recharger on my plot. I had 4 cores in the beginning and I have swapped cores from inventory to recharger, as per instructions. Two of them have now disappeared. Do they just stop existing if they happen to run out of juice altogether?

With maxed Batteries Included they weight "just" 0.3 each.

I know, but they still add up quickly if you're not using them constantly. I looked in my inventory at one point and had built up a supply of over 50.... that's still 15 lbs of fusion cores.

Yeah, that's why I wrote "just" with quotation marks.

Play the game. They are everywhere

I have 75 of them on my main character and depending on how I play I can drop by 5 or so and then be back up 5

You can craft them but I haven't had to do that in ages

I don't use power armour much (only for mining coal but the Santatron has given me a lifetime supply now), so have to dump most that I get. If you pick up a weapon that uses them as ammo the game gives you some. Also the Line in the Sand event rewards you with two. I leave them on the ground or put them in the donations box. Other players do similar.

I had well over 150 on my PA character at one point as i was holding some for a friend that decided not to play anymore. Still had about 200 free space in inventory so not a big deal to me. I just drop a bunch to every low level PA player i see now to get rid of them.

This is how I understand it. Fusion cores coming out of suits can be recharged. When you are going all willy nilly with the Gatling laser it eats them and poof they are gone.
You can get fusion cores by making them (late game) finding them (usually not far from a pa suit), events and taking over workshops. Certain workshops will have a fusion core generator that you have to power. I have had so many I literally dropped them to get rid of them. until I started playing with my Gatling laser, I was running out of cores and didn't know why at first. Now when I get too many I bring my bad boy Gatling laser out and go wild for a bit till I get more.

My power armour character regularly dumps 50 or so on the ground every week or so(when I actually play that is), you collect the bloody things far faster then you use them.

To the OP, yes they disappear entirely when they hit 0 charge, once you get going though, that recharger will feel like a total scam, as, well, you'll have more then you'll ever be able to go through.

I used to have all sorts of fusion cores before I realized I don't use power armor or weapons that use fusion cores, so now I just https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAYL5H46QnQ
