Is there a way to find a specific plan?

I have been looking for ages for a pump action shotgun plan. None of the vendors ever seem to sell it and at this point I don't even know why I want it anymore.

I have come across so many duplicate plans that I had to donate them all to make space since they took up so much of my storage.
I am not entirely apposed to the crafting system that this game has but it is frustrating to spend hours looking for a specific plan and find duplicate weapon mod plans that i wont ever use.

I think the most scientific explanation is you are most likely to find it by not wanting to find it.

Convince yourself you already found it, or don't want it, and it will come.

A watched pot never boils and a coveted plan never drops.

(I know this sounds snarky but you gotta try it)

It's most common spawning point is the Charleston herald somewhere on the upper floor, or the Clarksburg gun shot. Mob drops are usually the toxic valley if I remember.

btw, your chances of finding one from scrapping decreases with the number you already found i heard.

Kabloom, do the event at the trading post and you might get one. If it's the pump action experience you are looking for great. I think the other shotguns in the game work better and make sure you can handle explosive damage, mainly from yourself.

I was hoping at this point there was a way to buy a specific plan you were looking for, even if it was more expensive.

I mean, you just need a shotgun to reroll, You don't actually have to make it yourself. It shouldn't be too hard to find one on a scorched.
