i was wondering great base locations in the forest area

It depends on what you consider a great location.

Do you want flat land, hills, resources, etc?

One small suggestion...If possible, try to avoid building near the Overseers camp and The Wayward area. I found it is a hotspot for new players to put their camps down which mean when you spawn into a new world, your camp might not spawn due to an existing players camp already built in that location...meaning you need to leave that world and keeping trying again until you spawn into a world world where you camp is available.

Maybe somewhere near water for you to set-up purifiers ? Several spots like this around the forest...

Can confirm, my camp is across the road from the Wayward, and is blocked about one third of the time. Plus side is lots of vendor sales.

Awesome cliffs up near the top of the map near Vault 51. Also Twin Lakes is a beautiful scenic spot.

I like the area just south of Morgantown, have 4ish camps around there.

It is close enough to feel like a suburb of Morgantown with roads to build near.

Fairly safe, but a few spawn points around. Easy access to scavenge town and hunt special events.
