Whitespring Bunker - need help

I've fallen afoul of what is apparently a known issue. I completed the Bunker Buster quest and got an id card to enter Whitespring Bunker, but logged off before actually going there. The id card disappeared from my inventory and now I have no way to enter or re-gather the card.

This bug has been around for 5 years, so I guess is not going to be fixed anytime soon.

I read that the only way around it is for someone to open the bunker for you (I guess team up and go in together). I'd be really grateful if anyone reading this would be up for arranging to do that with me.

They need your account name - the name that appears when you are in teams and such.

Your toon name is just so you know which one is which, other people never get to see that.

You may be misunderstanding. What Potato Basket needs to know is what screen name appears on you in-game tag. As in what name you go by when playing Fallout 76. By what you posted it seems it's Twoage.

Your Steam screen name is not what is needed here.

Yes, Your IGN (In Game Name) is "Cribbage"
It don't matter what toon/mule you are currently using because the rest of us will only see the name Cribbage and the level the character is.

I couldn't find anyone to help me with this in the end, so it kinda stopped me in my tracks. I've unsubbed from Fallout 1st and stopped playing now. It's a shame, because I was really enjoying the game before this.

Well, I can try helping you, but there's no way of helping you through any laser grids if you don't have a right card/access. One question, did you try entering the bunker through the side door or main entrance? You need to use the main entrance when you enter the first time, side door starts working later.

I believe it is the main entrance. If I fast travel to the site, it is dead ahead of me. I read online that if I had lost the ID card but completed Bunker Buster, another player could let me in. Not sure how though. I assumed it was just through being in same group.

You can always enter the main entrance even if you don't have any quests done, but you need a keycard to get through the first door inside. Other players can open that one for you, but there are laser grids behind it and if you don't have access you won't be able to get through. It doesn't sound like you will be able to help me, since there IS a laser grid on the door. I looked at customer support, but the only 3 options it gives you are "I have missing atoms" "I have a problem with Atomic shop" and "I have lost an item." This is like putting a sign up that says "We only want to hear from you if it involves money."

They offer absolutely no support for people with bugged quests ... it blows my mind to think they have a game with so many bugs and won't help players who get blocked by one.

As it stands, my character is now completely unable to progress the Enclave quest lines. That means no mutations ... crazy. How can a game breaking bug like this have survived for 5 years without being fixed?

I'm giving up on F76. It's clear that Beth care nothing for their players.

There's your problem then, that's the side entrance. Go to main entrance, it's a bit further south from side entrance and it will work. If you activate the quest the quest marker shows you the right entrance.

If you finished the abandoned wastedump quest you have it, I don't know if it even shows in pip-boy inventory since it's a special quest item.
