Is there a way to move an account or items from console to PC?
I have FO76 on both Xbox and steam. I’m level 90 on Xbox. Wouldn’t mind going back to level 1, it’s just that I have a full set of ultracite power armor and ultracite Gatling laser plans and don’t want to give it all up.

I think I would prefer PC, or steam deck, just because steam is where I do most of my other gaming.

Is this possible? And if not, will it ever be? What are some comparisons between Xbox and steam? I read Xbox has more people and is more social, which is nice. Hope steam deck would crash less

Nope. There is no communication between platforms.

Dang man. Wonder if it would be worth switching. Only have about 3 weeks into this game, really took advantage of the double XP weekend.

Just don’t wanna lose my ultracite Gatling and power armor

You'll get new ones in no time, this isn't exactly the hardest game there is. :)
Tiny pro tip: if you want to get to full level and get proper gear quickly forget all quests until you get at least to level 50 and just do public and regional events. And I mean all of them, no matter how high tier they are or how many times you die. Join public casual teams, get area weapons like grenades and molotovs and go farm events like Radiation Rumble, Eviction Notice, Seismic Activity, A Colossal Problem, Jamboree etc. You'll get to full level in few days with good pile of scrap, scrip, caps and plans. Get the gear you want and then do the quests, when you have proper gear and lots of perks you can just speedrun them through if you wish. :)
If you start by doing the story quests it will take you way, way longer to get to full level, public events give you so much more XP.

From what I read on Bethesda website the same question is being asked if you can transfer between Xbox and PC and the response was. (Your characters, progress, and items will all be available to you whether you play Fallout 76 through the the Xbox App for PC or Steam). The other part is anything like atoms or membership does not transfer.

Microsoft and their bleeping naming conventions.

If you play on an XBox console your progress is only available on the XBox console. I am not a console guy, but there is apparently a “cloud” XBox app where you can run games on the PC, but that is not really running the game on PC, just emulating through the cloud.

Microsoft PC Gamepass uses the same servers etc as Steam. THOSE can transfer between Steam and PC Gamepass. Because PCs all use the same server regardless of the client.

I really just wish for the unobtainable items from the beginning of the game that I got on ps4. I bought the beta on my ps4, I played till wastelanders and close to the bos questline. I stopped then I bought it on pc a year later. I played a little, until I got hooked again, I missed so much; I did very little of the first 3 seasons, did a little of NW, and beat the game 3 times. But I miss my stuff on the ps4, the costumes and camp objects that I cannot get anymore. I just want to transfer them, but they wont.
All platforms have their own servers and i really hope there will never ever be any crossplay.

PC could transfer freely between
Steam -> Xbox for WINDOWS PC -> Bethesda Launcher

Atoms would not transfer but remain with the one that it was on...
I THINK when they killed the beth launcher they allowed all the atoms to transfer to EITHER OR once

Consoles can only work with themselves and nothing transfers

The atom transfer is part of the migration process. Your one free atom move from Bethesda to Steam.

This is what I was going to do, but first time in game on PC and there hasn’t been a single event I’ve been on for about 30 minutes

PC is much better by the way. Just sad I wasted this double XP weekend on Xbox, wonder how often double XP comes around?

Some regular events only pop when someone get near the area. So if no events are running, jump around to some of the travel spots you've unlocked and see if you can get one started.

Remember to either join or make a Int boosting party.

Taking workshops will trigger the defense event for that workshop. Yes it makes you flag for pvp while in the workshop, but most people got burned out on pvp on pc a long time ago. So take a few open workshops and you will have plenty of stuff to do, and they make for free travel points while you own them.

This is going a lot better than my first playthrough.

Started this evening, about 8:00. By 10:30 I was a level 27. Rollin pretty good. Hard part is just gonna be getting the weapons and armor

It's double XP right now so that always helps.
