Easy way to farm Plan: Ultracite Gatling Laser?

Random drop from cranberry bog events. Not aware of any shortcuts or easy way to get it.

I may have some spare plans if you get stuck trying to find it.

Easiest way is to not want it... Lootcifer has a wicked sense of humour...

The anecdote: I play 4 characters. The Power Armour one is the only one not to know it...

2 of them got it from the BoS quest line. Had it drop another 2 times from Test Your Metal. No way for me to reliably get the spare to my PA guy so I gave it away...

Standard guns used to drop fairly commonly from Scorchedbeasts. This was useful for scrapping to learn the mods. A few weeks ago I spent hours farming but none dropped, only legendary versions which can't be scrapped.

To mod my guns I've usually had to buy the mod boxes from Watoga bots. It's random and lately their stock odds have been bad (Enclave plasma farmers could probably attest).

In summary... they aren't worth the hassle IMO. They are the best Gatling Laser but come with too much baggage. You'll have core issues, they'll break... fast, you'll have to use less than ideal mods and finally being a heavy weapon the legendary crafting will be a slog as so many effects are useless.

yea. gatling lasers are nice for range vs sbqs, but the dps is better at short with plasma gatlings , similar range is on both 5mm guns imo, best range on black powder rifle although terrible dps

not even kidding i just got ultracite gatling laser from "event: safe and sound" , one problem is that its not a plan, it straight up gave me a weapon. im still happy tho

Totally agree. Lines up with my experience with all my characters. The ones who don't want certain items end up getting them and due to not being able to transfer some plans and items I am completely stuck and just need to keep on grinding and hoping my sacrifices to Lootcifer are enough to allow me to get it one day.
