Summary of Spooky Scorched event.

Or an observation of a complete waste of time which could have been better spent at the gym...not :-)

So, in total, I collected 713 Spooky Treat Bags. I didn't kill that many Spooky Scorched..some were pickups from the SBQ event, but by far and away, the majority were from my own kills. I don't have Fallout 1st (never will..too mean) so many times I found plenty of dead Spookies..

Focusing purely on the new items in the event only, I got the following:
1 x Plan: Giant Red Dinosaur (opened the plan so no more dropped..Idiot)
1 x Plan: Assault Rifle Wraith's Wrath Paint (opened the plan so no more dropped..damn Idiot)
3 x Plan: Dr. Bones
2 x Plan: Hellfire V2 Prototype Power Armor Helmet Paint
3 x Plan: Hellfire V2 Prototype Power Armor Arms Paint
6 x Plan: Hellfire V2 Prototype Power Armor Torso Paint
0 x Plan: Hellfire V2 Prototype Power Armor Legs Paint (WTF)
4 x Plan: Executioner Mask
9 x Plan: Honeycomb Paper Ghost Lantern
4 x Plan: Honeycomb Paper Jack-o'-Lantern
4 x Plan: Honeycomb Paper Spider Lantern
8 x Plan: Rad Skull Rider Helmet
4 x Plan: Chainsaw Ghostly Grinder Paint
4 x Plan: Princess Backpack
1 x Plan: Ogua Plushie (thrown in for good measure)

Seriously can't understand why I didn't get a single drop of the Hellfire V2 Prototype Power Armor Legs Paint

So now...useless information I know. For extra plan, I intend to sell them for 1 MILLION DOLLARS. or maybe just a few caps. First I need to build these things....

Oh, and for those Spookies who didn't drop a Treat Bags, there is a special place in Vault 76 reserved just for you, in the drains...

Just so you know, the Hellfire V2 Paint Plans can't be traded. Might as well destroy them.

I hit right around 900 bags and got a few more of each item than you did. Also got the full set of PA paint and I don't do PA.

The other things is that the PA Paint Plans won't drop anymore after you learn each one of the Plans. Had you activated the 3 you got right away, it would have improved the overall RNG chance of getting items you didn't have.

Ah. so.. I ruined my own chances of getting the full set of PA skins. Well....that's a big DOH.

I assume the Scorched are back for December ? If so, maybe I'll get another shot at that last PA plan...

You might have misunderstood me. You didn't ruin your chance of getting the Legs Plan, you just would have had better odds if you would have activated the first 3 Plans right away.

Bad news incoming; Although there's a few new items(like ornaments) with this year's Holiday Scorched Event, it's not the same rewards as the Halloween Scorched had. There won't be any Hellfire V2 Paint Plans.

Looks like you did pretty good! I didn't do that bad, I'm only missing is the Rad Skull Rider Helmet plan. There is always next year and/or buy/selling/trading with others. I can't wait til the holidays scorch!!! =)

Yeah...I meant to say that I should have just read those plans. With the number of duplicates I got for the Hellfire V2 Paint, I'd say that last plan would have dropped.

That's why you read plans like:

As soon as you get them, so you open slots for the other plans. Duplicates of this one are pointless.

Read these after a bit. Felt dino and backpack would be more sought after, after Halloween.

Read on purpose, do not think many will want this.

Ya, I did not know at this time and read these plans right away.

7 x Plan: Dr. Bones
Read after I got 7 of them. Did not want anymore. Plus I felt Dino and Backpack would be more sought after, after Halloween.

In the end, I did not read ones I thought people would want more.
12 x Plan: Princess Backpack
11 x Plan: Giant Red Dinosaur

The last week I was just farming for these two. Started off with like 2 of each. Ended up with what I got now.

Read PA plans as soon as I got them. No idea what I did and did not get. Do not care.

All the other plans not listed do however continue to drop. So reading them or not, they still dropped.

My days off, I would gather around 100+ a day. Other days 70-80.
On average, I would get anywhere from 25-40 on 1 run. Higher depends if I get Line in the Sand or a good event at the Airport that spawns a handful.

I would say I opened a good 800-1000 of them. Running private server. Do my run. Leave server, let it reset. Pop back on. Do the same with Treasure Hunters ect...

Other than going on past Halloween it was pretty fun. Did get a bit tried to trying to find five candy bowls every day.

I opened like 1000 spooky treat bags, but havent seen a damn Hellfire V2 PA arms paint, still got dr bones, the dinosaur, the princess backpack and the rest of the Hellfire V2 PA plans so i think its alright but couldnt been better. i mean thats 1k legendary scorched ffs

hopefully the PA plans return next Halloween or maybe this coming Holiday Scorched

It's kind of interesting the OP got no V2 legs but proportionately more torsos.

From Reddit posts and my own experience they were the two 'white whale' plans. For me it was the torso that was last to drop but on Reddit the legs were the last for many.

It leads me to believe there is a character based seeding, or at least 2 different seed lines. My PA guy is my original character and of my 4 the unluckiest by a long way.

Any of these plan drop events he is always the last to achieve his goals. SBQ plushie, Jersey Devil card, Firebell, Ultracite Gatling Laser... he will take far longer to get when the others get multiples...

This seeding or luck factor is... BS... can't prove it but can 'sense' it. Made worse by un-tradable or no account stash...

I only have one character.

The first PA Paint Plan I got was the Legs and that was on the second day of the Event. After that, I must have opened over 300 bags before getting the Torso. Then, I got the Helmet and the Arms two days and 150+ bags later.

The RNG for getting some kind of Plan is the same as always. What changes your chances of getting what you want is when they add more items to any of the Seasonal Events. Making what you're looking for harder to get. Don't get me wrong, I love having new things added to make doing the events rewarding again.

IMO, where Beth screwed up on the Hellfire Paint is that they released 4 different Plans instead of just 1 Plan to paint the whole set of PA. That Pink Sprinkles Paint that comes from the Holiday Scorched event has only 1 Plan for the whole set and which in the past was not that hard to get.

Here's hoping that when the Holiday Scorched Event happens this year there's no multiple Plans of any kind that is needed for any one item to be painted or built.
