The graphics are not super amazing but they are certainly adequate imo.
Even Farcry 1 had better graphics, but to be fair the Cryengine was pretty amazing.
Ohh holy crap, why does that grass make me think of the army men games from ps2?!
However there is texture mods floating around online that will make the game overall look better and less smudgey. I think it was a good 45-50 gb download though for the textures off nexus mods. It ran great as far as I could tell. The only glaring issue was, if there was a texture that didnt get an HD replacement then you can tell right away in comparison to the HD ones if their next to each other in game. I did all this last year, So might wanna look into if the community has done anymore with the textures.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but when this game released (2018), it already looked dated.
