it appears to be an intercept they use on the servers anti cheat to false flag people
Went away without reloading the game and a steam verification came back with 100% fine
Literally pops up a message you couldn't miss for this one... the disconnected from servers in events is often people using duping techniques or forced rollbacks to retry their luck
The map often shows them as not claimed when they are
The other player was able to intercept the anticheat with a false flag to boot me off the server... likely by having hacked the server itself. They did it pretty quickly too so its probably something they can do to any player they have recently seen or have line of sight on
The server gave the reason 'disconnected due to modified game files' or something very similar in a disconnect message (the same type of one you get when the server disconnects you because its coded poorly)
Booted me to the main menu, was able to log back into a different server immediately, before I was able to rejoin the same server they were on to make an easier report on them
Verified steam files at 100% after
I mean you would need more evidence
I, I don't...
I also don't put out players names into the ether when they behave badly
Bugfesta has the screenshots and video recording on the report so everyone who needs to know who the person is does
I am known, I don't use mods or cheats - frankly I dislike them, hence my distaste for the p2w mechanics..., I use min/max and strategy.
You are an unknown person and so wouldn't be given the same level of trust from the community.
Maybe they had some instability with some servers for any reason and was the cause...
so my conculation: bethesda did again something onto their server. some update i guesss, and those kick things become wide spread. not because hack but improper update on server.
Plus I doubt that they'd upgrade software while the server was being used... seems like they'd do it with a server not in use, get it going, spool another one down and repeat... but I don't do IT so meh
I mean a mario 64 speedrunner had a cosmic ray land on his console and flip a 0 to a 1 launching him up... so stranger things have happened
