Never used third party ♥♥♥♥, cheats or exploits. Playing since first launch day, never had problem. But two weeks ago i shared pics of my flying camp above Vatoga.... BAMMM here is you ban, son.
but floating camps are built using exploits and exploits can get you banned so maybe
Merging is an exploit too and all semi or professional camps use them, not the reason he got banned, there was something more, 100% sure.
Edit: Also some guys came here in the past saying got banned because they used an vpn, but they were wrong, im using an vpn too, i informed IT beth team im using it and also asked in their official discord, not had any problem.
They also banned a metric tonne of people for just using the steam deck
I guess I should clarify my its probably not the only reason comment - bugfesta is known for doing things to the 20% mark and then going ah good enough it'll roll downhill on its own...
This is only one of a few of their 'major' title games that they don't have the community fixing their problems for them
We know
a.) Allegedly mass reports get accounts flagged and banned until manual review [people use it as a harassment tactic...]
b.) CONVERSELY reporting things incorrectly often does get you in hot water (reports of bans)
c.) using exploits that get reported can lead to a manual review and ban... I know guys with 100,000,000 misc (treasure maps) in their vendor and I'm just waiting to never see them play again when someone takes offence and reports it
d.) having dev room items (even innocently obtained) can lead to a ban (which is pretty stupid
e.) poor internet connection can get you flagged for doing 'exploits' and put under review
f.) Steam decks lead to some MASS bans that got reversed (without compensation for lost time) should be fixed by now I'd hope
g.) Use of the mic can get you banned (admission of cheating/hacking, racism, real world threats, LGBTQ++ etc harassment) even 'stream sniping' accusations can lead to bans (even if its realistically impossible for that to happen in this game)
About d: i have other mmo experiences, and this happens at them like this one, duping, cheating, etc, the way they resolve the situation is the same as here, (not only fallout76, if you go to other mmo's, they will take the same action), in case of investigation of something suspicious, (i put in caps) ALWAYS is the culprit the actual user who owns the suspicious item, why? because going to your data center and checking logs until find previous users or transaction data, is expensive on time consuming, thats why IT teams always ask when you report issues (in game) all the info you can, or if you are accused, bring all the info you have hopping will be enough to check them.
Checking logs in a 24/7 days server its not funny, and there arent any magical words to make it faster.
About g: I think ToS talks about this issue, if yes, no more to say.
Merging is a camp building technique that allows you to merge together two or more different items to create something different or more desired.
For example, we can build bookcases, but cannot put items on the shelves, only on top. Merging lets you put items into the shelves.
