whats the best farming method?

Tato, corn and mutfruit, I think.

Foundation has five Tato and five Wild Corn plants for a start and just pick Mutfruit in the Forest region.The Green Thumb perk doubles that and there are bags of fertilizer.You will also need Purified Water in your camp.The Lakeside workshop can be used if you take that over for daily/weekly challenges.

You could just run around the Watoga area harvesting the giant pitcher plants. Their digested goo scraps down into adhesive.

Seriously? To farm adhesive you just farm.

You need one camp farm with a turbo fert producer, a stash/scrap box and a crafting station for your adhesive creation. Plant all crops. To get more crops, plant something then harvest it, repeat. Pop on grenadier perk. Chuck your turbo fertilizer, harvest, throw another fertilizer, repeat. Also be sure to equip Green Thumb

I was having an adhesive shortage, so I put a camp on one of the rail bridges in The Mire. About 10 water purifiers in the swamp below, dirt floors mid way up with about 20 mutfruit, 30 tato, 30 corn growing. When I'm in need of adhesive activate that, do a couple of events, then grab what water and crops I can to turn into adhesive.

We missed it but what Arcanix said is actually easiest once you're far enough along.. Unless you're RPing a farmer or something. After a certain point it becomes far easier to "farm" mobs and sell stuff to purchase Bulk Adhesive.
Eventually you'll likely tire of the effort of farming if the goal is the end product rather than the farming itself. If that's the case you're better off establishing a good loot route on the way to Whitespring Mall.

That's what I used to do. Equip green thumb perk and go hit up all the pitcher plants on my regular route through the bog. Getting decent xp while also getting the adhesive i needed.

If you have the caps and can get them easily then just buying it from the vendor bots is easier though.

Just by playing events, and daily ops, and gather everything in containers and corpse, you will get 50 adhesive per day. They are really easy to find. And doing events, and daily ops, is the best way to farm. You will get 1000' of every items, and ammos every week. In daily ops, always equip the weapons you want ammos for. Or if you equp melee wepons, you will get every kind of ammos, and 100's of stimpack, radaway, radx. When vendor have no more moneys, buy plans from it, and it will refill money, and when it have 1400 caps, buy again, and repeat process!

and, don't forget, you can create 5 free characters per account. And each character can have 2 free camps, and 1 free bunker. The only things character share are the atom shops skins and cosmetics items, bought, or rewards on scoreboards! But, you can do the daily, or weekly challenges for scoreboard on any character, and it will count for all your characters. At, some points you will need to create new character, to keep playing, and be able to do the scoreboard daily and weekly challenges!
