STILL NOT WORTH BUYING IN 2023!

I've seen some VERY troubling reviews for Failout 76 on the Microsoft store. Most people can't even login and play on PC. They recommended getting the Steam PC version instead of the Xbox PC version. However Xbox has game pass, Steam does not.

Does this game have 16x the fun in 2023? Does it just work? Or Naaah?

I'm making my official review, and I hope everyone who's thinking about buying this crap reads it.

I can do without the stupid Atoms Shop/micro transactions.
I want lots of NPCs to talk to, and hordes of hostile NPCs to kill! The game has absolutely none of that!

The crafting and building system was poorly copied from Fallout 4.
They even left out the best part about crafting/modding from FO4: the part where you can attach new mods you created (not ones you bought from a stupid robot) to other weapons, instead of completely scrapping old mods when you upgrade your weapons. On top of that the level capping system on weapons and armor is poorly done. Before level 20 you're not really going to find enough ammo for guns you loot in the world, for it to be worth it to be encountering weapons that you can't use until level 30, 40, 50... Whatever. Fallout 4's progression and loot system was a lot more immersive, and a lot more fun. This was clearly a poorly implemented ploy by Bethesda to try and get you to buy something in the Atom Shop to help you progress faster. I see what ya did there Todd...

In it's "finished" state it's definitely not worth $40! And it definitely was never worth the rip off of $60 (Or the biggest rip off of $200 for the Nylon Bag/Power Armor Edition) that it was on initial release!

In closing: I have high hopes for the Skyrim Together team, and would much rather give them $60 to continue developing Fallout Together.
Skyrim Together Reborn works (for the most part), which means they can easily get Fallout 4 Together to work.

I got it last year, I'd say it's worth getting if you enjoy roaming around in Fallout. There's a bit of a story; nothing groundbreaking or deep, but it's something to get you started and reading notes and computer entries is a lot of fun in terms of world-building. I've enjoyed my time with it, and I think it's nice to just wander around and see what trouble I can get into.

I haven't played in a few months (I did grinding daily for the challenge board and got burnt out), so I can't say what state it's in currently, but I rarely ran into bugs when I played it hardcore for a while. :) I've had a lot of fun with the game, but I also don't mind taking things slow and just exploring the world in games.

Definitely yes. Especially with friends. It will steal your time. Game will get a huge sale, but you don't flatter yourself. Cause every month you will buy full price 12.99$ (or 100$/year) "1st membership" for atoms and scrapbox. It means Todd will sell this game to you EVERY MONTH! well played, Todd! After this move, you are the most desirable man in my life! Don't you think that you will not have a desire to buy some nice things for your camp or things like "I can live without scrapbox" - It's impossible. So... think twice before, but after you can't leave.

It is unfortunate that they can only here or redit to get help.
Most peeps just want to push a button & GO!
It took me a while to figure out that Microsoft, Nvidia, Bethesda, Steam, Internet weren't playing together very nicely!
If peeps weren't trying to dupe, hack, glitch, hop, crash a server to learn if they can get something for free.
Things would be smother...
I enjoy the game.
I enjoy the challenges.
I enjoy the break from my daily life this game offers ME!
I enjoy the fact I get to experience a nice person while playing.
I enjoy seeing different camps and their creative or outlandish designs ...
I have bought 76 twice!
My son bought this for us also.
Soo I have three accounts!
Despite all the things that have happened to me ingame, I am still HAPPY to play it!!!***
