No bag of junk after death

This happens a lot to me and it is very annoying. There are no other players for miles. 5 out of my last 6 deaths had no bag to loot.

If this game is as glitchy as Fallout 4, I suspect it is placing them below the surface. I used the tilde key so many times in that game to get to a dead monster to loot it when the corpse fell through the ground.

If you weren't carrying any junk then you don't have anything to drop upon death; thus, no bag. If you dropped your loot bag and didn't get it and die before picking up more junk you'll not have a bag drop. If you are at a glitch camp it's entirely possible for drops to phase through to one of the other levels of camp. Yes, 76 can be glitchy and based of reports on forum it's been very bad this past week; here's the thing, though, I just got back from a several month break and the game is running smoother for me than ever before.

The instance of dropping things below the surface is an issue for mob corpses in particular but for player loot bags that's seldom to never. Did you die in the same place each time?

it happened to me a couple times. and once i were seeing my bag, but the object covered my bag were not letting me to grab it.
i heard ATI graphic cards has a problem with game. (driver issue i think). objects, npcs, players itself, were sunk below surface, (sometimes completely sometimes partially). and i observe thoose too.

For AMD GPU users who have this issue in Fallout 76, set your tesselation mode to 8x or 16x and it should be fixed.

If you are participating in a public event, expedition, or Daily op, you do not drop a death bag. No junk is lost.

Nope I haven't had THAT prob!
Have seen lately the npc's who can sink or walk thru stone.

Now you cant find the bag with your junk in it.

The carrots, where did you got them? i want them to plant in my camp, fat carrots are life...

About the bag, as others said, to left bag you must carry junk first, some conditions apply:

1- Open event? sorry you wont left any bag, game rules. But, if someone cancels his event and you dont have pacifist up, the other can kill you and loot the bag you will leave, also applies if you attack someone wanted (red mark).

2- Random enemies kill you with no event, yup, you will drop your junk, all of it, flux included, if someone find it before you... well, you will make someone happy.

About the corpses making his own holes to no dig anything with your loot, it happened to me and happens, dont care, there are more chances to have loot anything else, if you are worried just server hop.

Certain events don't make you drop anything but theres also people who will just immediately loot your junk because they are Alpha Sierra Sierra holes

more than 100 lbs of junk was dropped the last time. i cant remember previous, but yes, i was carrying junk, otherwise it would not be an issue. My video card is nvidia gtx 1070

I lost over 900 lbs once when we fist started falling down a cliff, died half way down in a great tumble animation. Bag fell into the rocks. I then new life as Hoarder was not going to be easy.
