Minigun Shredder or Chainsaw?

With best mods and legendary effects, which would you prefer?

I use the chainsaw, just recently picked up a shredder which could be modded.

I use both most of the time. Double bladed bloodied flaming chainsaw and bloodied deathclaw gauntlet with extra claw or Unstoppable Monster if I have it.
Wish there were melee only games. With the right perks and foods one really doesn't need guns.

i prefer gauntlet too over the chainsaw. I dont know why..but its hard for me to handle.

now deathclaw gauntlet, with good stats is really nice ^^

i think the shredder is good for distance. i hate to get hit close up with any big gun, it pauses me and i have to wind it up again.

I have a couple vamps miniguns you're welcome to if you wanna go that way (shredders already on both, I think).

I usually use a nocturnal extra power attack chainsaw (flaming and dual bar upgrades) but only in at night I recently got a furious one that I'm considering using to replace it since I forget about the Nocturnal.

My personal preference is the Mole Miner Claw over Deathclaw (suits my character more) and chainsaw over any other auto weapon. I don't use the miniguns but I hold onto vampire's rolls.

I've recently began using teh Powah Ahmah, so that rules out Deathclaw Gauntlet.
My fav chainsaw is Vampire Longbow Flamer, would like to replace Longbow with Dual Bar, but RNG has recently been frowning on me, and I can't seem to find any more Dual Bar mods.

Was debating whether to start RNG on the Shredder, or keep trying for Vamp DB chainsaw.

Does the minigun have a longish spinup time? Only minigun I've used is Gat Plasma, its spinup can be annoying if something is right in your face.

I would gladly accept a vamp mini from you, maybe I have something you would like in exchange. How to meet up in game?

Yep, I just used it to complete the weekly super mutant challenge. My take? It shreds. Pretty much invincible. The downside is that one melee strike and your have to wait for wind up again, so it's a stealth weapon. IGN?
Oh, and did you want +25% damage while aiming, or +50% limb damage?

I love me some shredder, but the only problem is you have to be careful and not pick up any ammo or it causes momentary grief until you drop it.

IGN is Snafubar (I think). +50% limb damage I guess.

They are sold regulary at Watoga for me. Besides that, you can learn that mod by scrapping spare chainsaws (20% chance).

I've been hitting Watoga a lot looking for the enclave flamer mod, and haven't seen the the dual bar for while. Used to see it pretty often.

I have a dual bar chainsaw level 50 you can have. It's unrolled and not sure if it has the mod flamer on it. I don't need and/or want it,I like the auto axe instead.
