CAMP door codes

I only just learnt that you can build your camp near a resource and mine it like with workshops. It's lead which you can never have enough of, right? Anyway I built around it so no one can steal from it. A level 3 door and a coded door which will hopefully keep any raiders out. Just wondering if the door codes are random or can people just look them up? The first one I got was 0234 but the next one was a little more harder to guess.

No need of a code, and that door is useless, you dont want anyone enter to your camp base? put a wardrobe in front of the door (inside), believe me, is the best you can do.

Also, avoid locks in your camp, if i want to steal your things, i only need to open your lock, enter in wanted mode and blew all your camp up.

The door codes are random I believe.

Since they started dropping ammo as part of the monsters death I have more ammo than I can handle and lead is not a problem any longer.

Part of that may be because I use multiple weapons using different ammo so:
Shotgun
Gauss Shotgun
Fixer
Flamer
etc, and even if I stick to just one type I end up with extra of the type I'm using.

So are you NOT getting ammo with your loots or do you just shoot it all up?

Also for the LEAD resource don't forget the Lucky Hole mine and the full mining suit to get extra ore.

BTW I have never had anyone take any resource gather from my camp. I know it happens but it shouldn't be that big of a problem. I also leave them unlocked. I guess it happens but most people don't go around raiding. It's not that kind of game really.

Yeah I'm using a .50 cal. I mean, I guess I'm getting enough from enemies but not without also getting lucky and finding ammo in containers and with the scrounger perk which I feel is necessary or I do eventually run out. It's definitely not as bad as the LMG I was using before that. Also, my other CAMP had a front/back door. I locked the back door just because "employees only". There's no reason to and nothing at all to steal but still people can't help breaking the lock because I always come back to it being open and lot more wanted players now. Curiosity killed the cat. And yeah, the thing with this resource is it's already scrap so you don't need to waste acid on the ore or have it taking up space.

Don’t want people getting near your resource collector, forget the door, put a solid wall there, and just go in to build and swap it to a door. When done, swap it back.

But, and here’s something that will blow your mind. It is possible for people to get anywhere. Even if you have walls. Server lag and camp spawn means that they can FT to your camp and run right past everything and watch the walls spawn around them.

Yeah, that's true! I just prefer the immersion of door opening lol! They can have it if they're that desperate. I'm not THAT bothered but I'll make it as difficult as possible within the games limitations and fun. If someone is willing to get the bounty for opening door then can guess the code and another bounty for unlocking the machine then enjoy it I say - no harm done. Just needed to know if the code was random or else it's pointless even more.

I hope you never get "raided" per say. I noticed that I hardly even get visitors. When I do they hardly touch anything in my camp and there is a lot. Everything stays unlocked and often plans are dropped by me and they get ignored.

Fun fact is players around 200ish that do take stuff, seem to go nuts and take everything then they run off before I can give them anything like I caught them stealing lol. Psst.... it's free.
