Are the buffed science perks working?
I tried using all of them with my current build and my plasma caster/gatling plasma did not increase in damage with all of the perks. Are they not working properly?

Yeah, they increased energy damage for all weapons, even electrified mods on some melee weapons, any energy damage with the science perks are now increased in damage, gatling plasma and plasma caster deal energy damage. So i don't know if it's working right.

they weren't mentioned that I saw, but the cards have the text about adding damage to energy weapons.

Exacly, energy damage is energy damage, from lasers, to melee, to plasma weapons, so i don't get why they don't work. They never mentionned plasma weapons would not be affected, so it got me thinking why it's not working.

IMO the best use of them is for energy pistols anyway. Pistols suffer from agility stacking and splitting damage to intelligence helps them achieve the same results as other weapons.

For rifles or gauss shotgun I wouldn't bother. The 30% is additive from base damage so in practice won't be much if you already use the 60% or other sources of damage increase.

The science perks are definitely working for energy damage. I was just using them. They do not work with heavy energy guns.

They were not in the patch notes as it was forgotten to be put in by Bethesda. Not sure if it has been corrected since I last looked.

As mentioned by Bloodpie in another thread and i agree, the damage increase is very small for the 6 point investment of all 3 science perks.

However if like me you want 15 points in intelligence for faster levelling but struggle to use 15 points worth of perks for a non PA build then i would say go for it. It is far better then using more useless perks instead.

Also if you are not running a low health bloodied build with adrenal mutation they are far more useful since you are limited to the damage boosts you can get.

Display shows they are affecting my gauss shotgun.

Well thank you all for the tips, shame for heavy weapons though.
