The score boosters that you buy with atoms or get from the choreboard have to be manually selected and only work for 24 hours.

FO1st score boosters are earned at several waypoints on the choreboard and must be selected at that time. Additionally, they reset for each season. So even if you had the 25% boost from last season, it went away yesterday.

You don't buy a F1 booster.

Fallout1st benefits are scoreboard milestones that unlock extra % XP gain aside from the regular item.

Edit: So you need to get there first.
The first one is at mark 15.

maybe its one of those things that change season by season, havent checked mine in so long but havent played long enough to mess with it myself and i know it was only about 1/4 of way filled in at the time, so yeah all that was a waste unless a person starts at beginning of that season.

Do you or do you not ?

I survived for one year, and six months with out Fallout First. It was the Stable Fluxes that made me brake down and get Fallout First.

Getting Jumped for your collected junk was not fun, and avoiding PvP, when having junk on your person made the “Hunter V. Hunted Event” one you could not do. Or lose your junk.

A lot of Fallout First Players were going after players at workshops and taking the junk from non Fallout First players. The Server Crashes for various reasons were bad if you Died just before the crash and could not get your junk back.

If there were a limited storage for junk that did not require Fallout First, PvP may have been more popular, or I would have participated in it. Nuclear Winter was nice, but there were “Flying & Aim bots” players that made that mode a pain at times, but if you had the time and wanted a few extra caps, and grinding out hiding, or fighting. It was ok.

Is it a must to fully enjoy fallout 76?

No, but inventory management is made easier with Fallout First for Junk and Fluxes.
I played, bulked junk and crafted ammo, and crafted weapons to avoid having junk issues. I tried to have surplus of materials to repair. But, Collecting Stable Fluxes started to brake down that system. Also, before Legendary Perks, and getting ammo for the weapon you were using was a problem.

Ammo production was hard, and the Rifleman perks were the most efficient at conserving ammo. I use heavy guns for groups of enemies that my Rifleman could not handle.

With the shelters, and reduction of griefers destroying the C.A.M.P. Radiation Shower, and with the New Shelters, the free Shelter is nice, from the Quest. It is now, not a problem, if the Radiation Shower is in a shelter.
The Ammo Converter is a way to avoid the, Fallout first Ammo box. But now, with getting ammo for the weapon your using, if you have a surplus of ammo, that can become a problem.

Do you believe it is worth the monthly payment ?

It depends on you and your situation. It simplifies junk and Stable Flux storage. Ammo Storage is nice. But, the Ammo Converter can be a Non-Fallout First solution. Getting a monthly allotment of Atoms to can be nice, but you are paying for them. Building or making your own world can be nice, but limited. Peace of mind if in a workshop. Until, Level 15 everybody is in the same boat, for the Scoreboard, but after that and if you remember to claim the SCORE boosts for Fallout First, you it makes getting to the end of the season a little faster, rather then grinding, and worrying about missing the daily assignments, the free re-rollers are nice. If you want the stuff from the season that was added for Fallout 1st, It is up to you.
