Chryo?

Ok, I know status effects are really weak; par for the course in Fallout games.

But Chryo is also supposed to give a movement penalty and I'm just not seeing it. Cold Shoulder seems to work but that a nonstandard weapon. I have a crossbow with chryo and when I hit I see no effect nor in other guns. Chryo mines seem to work a little.

Anyone else see this?

I think it's proportional to how much Cryo damage you deal. So you'll need to constantly apply it for noticeable effect.

The problem is it is a timed effect, something like 2 seconds off memory.

In order to have noticeable slow down you need to apply as many stacks as possible in that time, a bow is too slow.

You either need a group applying stacks each or a fast multiple pellet weapon (two shot cryolator for example).

Cryo is a PvP thing, I find that the crystalizing is kinda useless because its harder to land hits than as a flamer

its also useful vs queen to keep her grounded for a quicker kill... if you don't have good weapons that is your best bet to contribute to her

Angry Turtle released a video showing some changes on the PTR and it looks like cryo is getting fixed on all/most other cryo weapons to have the same "movements slow" note in its legendary effect as cold shoulder does.

you need a TSFFR Cryolator and also put on Grenadier and Demolition Expert, then you would have 0 problems landing hits :)

Cryolator with Crystalizing barrel and Alien Blaster with cryo mod benifits from Grenadier and Demolition Expert.

Where do you get a chryo mod for the alien blast?

Didn't all the alien plan mods not drop once you used them once

so it would be pretty rare in player vendors as they'd have to had run the event and not used the mod plan
