first time mothman equinox

As title says, first time doing it. I see a lot of people on reddit saying they enjoy the event but I don't really see the benefit of doing it more than a few times as there will be no new rewards. Am I missing something here?

If you get all the rewards it's just another public event with basic public event rewards. But it is appreciated by others if you join because the event needs multiple people to guarantee 100% success during the defense stage.

I just wish they had more for show after this much time has passed. Half-baked quest, all things considered, but the cult of the Mothman, or any other religious fanatics (such as the children of Atom) really, never really resonated with me.

I've already got the mothman throne and the cultist backpack, even a mothman throne spare thats in my shop for someone whos in a hurry, lol

Did you play Far Harbor for Fallout 4? Really in depth quests for CoA cult.

Reddit is full of deluded apologists that try to hype up everything. Once you get an idea of the most prolific posters you'll see how one eyed they are.

Mothman Equinox is the same boring wave event that seems to be all BGS can add to the game these days.

There is however the tomes that set it apart. If you're into lore in the church are six tomes. You unlock access to one every 3ish event completions (don't remember the exact number). Unlocking all of them supposedly unlocks new dialogue from Steven Scarsberry.

Yea was wondering about that. When I spoke to him the tomes were in the dialogue options, but I didn't read any yet.

its the one event that had something tied to it outside of an excuse to show up and get rewards then they never did this again :(

the event itself is still copy paste defense but the effort of world building was there IN the game not on a inside the vault yah know in the game

its ok i mainly do it because of my daily or weekly. the rewards are lack luster.

Yeah, I haven't seen any useful rewards other than cultist robes, same with the Cultist Packs that the new random legendaries drop. Chems and mothman eggs? Oh boy, how fun.

It seems like its pretty much the same thing as that meditation one at that temple.

Well if it is your first time doing the event at all, then the rewards it gives would be new to you. However the rewards are no that great, so is up to you. :)

I'll be going. I go to any event that people show up to.
IME thats not very many (with no mutations reward).
So if people will show to this one so will I.
