Favorite carnivore buffs?
At the moment going with 3 simples for myself.
Cranberry meatball grinder
Smoked mirelurk fillets
Tasty Squirrel stew

Not to big in to the complicated ones, especially since I am not running the salt perk.

Carnivore mutation is for melee builds and carry weight and herbivore for the rest, pros of carnivore? yao guay pastry, stag roast, bhramin cook or deathclaw, all for weight buffs, and on the other hand melee buffs.

At this point I just run a couple of loops on the Fissure Sites and just cook up all the Scorchbeast organs. They give decent enough buffs when you just want to be a lazy butt.

There is a lot out there....but these are easy and especially if you got rank 3 Butcher.
+50 AP soft mirelurk meat
+8 endurance queen meat
+6 strength (30 carry weight) deathclaw
+ 50 carry radstag

NukaWorld on tour brought more easy buffs you can buy from the vendor. Like wtf else to do with you caps? If you are really lucky you can learn the recipes from a drop.

These are Carnivore + Stranger in Numbers

You can play anything with Carnivore to be honest. I think you miss out on an exp buff, but there's other things you can use for that such as the food you get from mama dolce event. Goes to +12% exp. You can get +AP, +PER, +AGI, +END from carnivore. Maybe there's slightly better foods for herbivore for PER and such, but honestly a few extra stats isn't going to change anything. I prefer carnivore for all my builds because it's handy. Tons of carry weight, endurance, agility, AP. It's great.

Nope. You get the best one. A xp buff food that has no expiration. Canned Meat Stew from Mama Dolce event.

Scorchbeast Brains give +8 int, but those kinda suck to collect due to randomness of the four meats. Although a Surface to Air event can yield like a dozen dead scorchbeasts.

Also a squirrel one, Tasty Stew I think? Hunting squirrels sucks though.

Steeped fern flower tea says otherwise for carry weight
Pepperoni rolls for carry weight also
for herbs the Rad Ant Lager would be the best

Doesn't give carry weight boost. Only STR.

Yea I know, but it doesn't have direct carry weight boost. Like the Yao Guay Pastry gives +75 or Grilled Radstag gives +50. It's a big difference between +5 STR and +75 weight boost, which translates to +15 STR boost on its own. Besides there's two other foods for carnivore which give +5 STR too. So I specifically noted this for the direct Carry Weight boost.

Regarding the staring XP +%, herbivore has cranberry relish, which is far easier to obtain ingredients for than tasty squirrel stew. The canned meat only gives half the XP bonus as those two (5% vs 10%, unmodified from bonuses)
