...How do I place a camp?

Like, what button do I press to make it come up. The tool tip says [Z] and the one in the radial menu says [T] but none of these seem to do anything. I did manage to get it to come up one time, but everythign around was red so I exited out and went looking for a better location... but now I can't get it to come up again?!

T is survival tent, Z is camp you should see a small little box that has a R2D2 camera stick thing. Hold it down when trying to place it should come up and when it’s green you can deploy the new campsite.

You can walk or run around with it red till you find a location you can drop it

Thanks for the quick responce, but T and Z don't seem to do anything. This is super frustraghting. The guy on the holo tape said I needed to be "in the wilderness" dose that actually mean anything or is that just fluff?

No you should always be able to pull your camp out pretty much anywhere it just won’t let you place it, try restarting the game or changing your keybinds T is for the survival tent for fallout 1st players.

For the camp placement, you must have your Pipboy screen up.

Is it possible you have remapped keys?

It lets me place it just holding z, idk maybe I’m crazy only 220 hours in the game and sometimes I don’t even remember what it was like when I started

Open your Pip-Boy, then hit Z.

I don't think I remaped the keys, I tried restarteing but no dice.

For my controller, I open pipeboy with B, then it is the Left bumper button to get the camp out for positioning, and then A to place camp. Controller on PC.

Yep, this solved my issue. It would be nice if they said this somewhere instead of just telling you to hit z, witch dose NOT seem to work outside of the pipboy.

I saw this video before I made the thread. The audio log says nothing about bringing up the pip boy and nether did the person making the video. I didn't notice that little bit of text at the bottom of the screen and the video creator did not point it out.

I understand your frustration. I've played more then 480 hours and just the other day I noticed I can hit V to open build menu while in camp.
