Destroyed By Player at Tyler County Dirt Track. What was the motive?
I Just started playing this game and I am only a Level 6 player. Went to do Quest for Tyler County Dirt Track to secure Tinkerers Workbench. I succeeded and to my surprise managed to hold it without difficulty for about 8 hours in between doing other things like obtaining the blueprint for the Tinkerers Workbench and getting circuits, screws and military fibre etc which I did (now you know what I did all day).

Well against my better judgement I decided to defend the Work Station again for the last time as the Quest rewards were good for a newbie like myself even though I now had the blueprint. This time there were a lot of 'Robbie the Robots' around and this time I was out-gunned. I only had a modified 16mm hand gun so game over until another player joined the fight. The player wiped all the bots off the track with lots of flames and explosions everywhere literally within seconds. All I had was my modified 16 mm handgun thinking that I was doing the best I could. Well the other player gave me the thumbs up and I did the same back,,,and then the player killed me by planting flame thrower traps all around me like magic, like really fast..

It only took the player a second to turn me into a struck match and then put me to pasture. What actually happened here? What was the players end goal? They probably have a hundred blueprints for a Tinkerers Workshop and doesn't need to hold onto the Workbench for any reason. Well I am not going to be taking it back from that player that's for sure. Out-gunned and Out-Matched. I can't find any settings that enable/disable PVP not that I really want to.

Not upset. Only a game at the end of the day, but curious, is it just someone that just likes to dish it out or what?

:lunar2020ratinablanket:If I were level 100 I wouldn't be going around crushing level 2 players. Also I thought there was some sort of even matching system so this doesn't happen. Am I missing something here. First real Multiplayer game I have ever played so I am not used to it. If someone could explain what actually happened here and possibly why?:lunar2020ratinablanket:

Next time: Run.

When you activate that workbench, you are ringing dinner bell for some player who like to kill for achievement or part of PvP community.

You cannot win, unless spec and have item specifically for PvP.

Also yes, when you try to claim a workshop it means you are open for PvP. Typically nobody cares. But you are unfortunate enough to have PvP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on your server.

Ps. Most of the player base are generous. People usually dump stimpacks and ammo for new players. This asshat is an exception not the rule.

Ps2. Make sure pacifist mode turn on on your setting

Workshop PvP players are sad individuals with no self esteem. My advise. Just ignore the workshops. If you need to get one for a challenge just stay hidden while claiming and then when claimed get the F out of there. Fast travel somewhere else.

And who were the culprits to this crazy? let me answer you, the pve community who wanted the same as theirs but without any effort, just killing a few mobs controlled by AI, its easy pointing your finger but harder to watch your own reflection in a mirror.

Some people are just "cool guys" if you know what I mean.

There is an achievement for killing 20 players. You low level people lingering at workshops makes that possible to accomplish

Sound advice. I'm not going to get involved in that quest anymore. No longer need to as I have the plans. Plenty of other great Quests to do anyway. Big game.

OK. Did not know that. Yeah I did really ring the dinner bell there. Thanks for the heads up. Where is the 'Pacifist Mode' Option? I can't find it.

They are the fox and I am the chicken in the workshop coop. One day I will mutate and get my revenge.

You dont to avoid the Workshops. There is no Penalty for dying other then loosing your Junk.
So aslong you store your Junk bevor claiming a workshop where is no downside.
i got a 1k+ Char and i know i will die if a PVp player of any level attacks me in a Workshop ,so what ^^
Store your Junk bevorhand and your are fine.and dont try to avenge your Death its wasted Time^^

You get a MASSIVE whole screen covering Message when you reach level 5 (you are now 6 so its not been millions years for you) that warns you about Workshops beeing PvP zones and PvP in general.
And i want you to ask about that MASSIVE message, how did you forgot abotu it allready? Did you even Read it or just clicked it away?

King Crimson

If you can get a piece of any armor with chameleon attached to it.
Then in sneak mode, you look like the predator.
Don't move...
Just build off of that.
This is a very long term game.
No leaps and bounds made here.
It grows on you.

That player pvper was weird. Help you defend then thumbs up and then put flamer traps around you?? Was that his way for you to go out with a bang? Maybe in his mind he thought 8 hours is enough and its time for you to leave? :steamfacepalm:

I thought workshop trolling died already with PvP. I remember ,farming" junk from loot goblins via workshops in chameleon armor 3 years ago. Good old times when I killed someone in ammo factory and then took tons of bulked junk. Better than farming junk and caps for hours/days... Work smarter not harder - real G raider roleplay

I found out early that I need to have Pacifist mode on. I accidentally shot a player when I was first starting out. Once you shot someone they can kill you.
