What is the reasoning behind charisma points from the legendary perk not counting towards sharing perks?

Picked and leveled up the legendary charisma perk to get my chr up to 9 so that I would be able to share level 3 perks since I had decided to start joining public teams for the benefits.. welp, 50 perk coins down the drain.

Why not, at the very least, mention that in the description of the legendary perk card?

A lot of people have warned others about this including myself, sorry if you wasted the points, but the only thing I can think of is maybe a team healer could use the extra points. But it is pretty pointless in a game that really doesn't push for team battles with world bosses.

if you want more charisma, take one of the other stats as a special, and move the excess base points over to CHA.

Yeah, I saw the warnings after I googled why perk sharing wasn't working, I appreciate the efforts but those PSAs reach only a tiny bit of the player base, Bethesda should either change the perk so that it does count, or warn people in-game changing the description, instead of having to rely on a few good folks going out of their way to let others know in threads that will get buried in no time.

I know this thread is pointless but I find spending 45 minutes messing around with my build to comfortably get chr to 9 only for it to not work to be very frustrating, I needed to vent a little haha

Wish I knew to do that beforehand lol, now I don't have enough perk coins to fix it, and quite honestly, I don't think I'll be bothering with perk sharing and public teams for a while.

I needed to do it, just so I could share a max'd Insperation perk.

It's because you can change it 'on the fly'.

For example you have enough charisma (9) to share a rank 3 card and remove the legendary perk.

Ideally the shared card would be removed... but look who we are talking about...

As far as I'm aware the shared card wasn't removed which could allow players to glitch and game the system. The workaround solution was to not allow those extra points to affect sharing.

I see, somehow it doesn't surprise me lol
But then again, if they were going with such a lazy fix they could have added a simple "(Does not count towards perk sharing)" to the description. Damnit Bethesda I'm gonna be salty about this forever!!
