Now the downside... all this has done is push the low AP meta or consumable spam. If you don't have the AP to switch targets you're outta luck.
Railway rifles, The Fixer, Handmades, any low AP automatic just became better at clearing hordes... like they needed that anyway...
This is one of my "stuff you Bethesda" changes that proves just who they listen to or cater the game for.
It just makes it hard to enjoy other gear when there is a clear winner. For example lasers vs ballistics.
Handmade, Railways and Fixers can run around 2-3 AP per shot. A laser at best can get 10, that is 3-5 times worse.
For the same AP a ballistic can easily kill something and change target with heaps of AP to spare.
It is fun but I also wish the lasers got the same AP reductions to be able to use VATS and crits as efficiently.

Yeah, buffing commandos while nerfing the Gauss Shotgun was pretty lame.
Yep, great perk but more than 1* is a waste. Or is it worth it if you have a heavy with quad legendary (otherwise you just run out of loaded ammo)?
I run 3 with an automatic Handmade. The extra % for damage when it switches targets helps conserve ammo. My AP usually runs out before I can switch to everything visible. I do have ammo issues (i.e. using more than I am picking up) with the Handmade, but with the Ammosmith perk and AmmoFactory Legendary Perk making more ammo is never an issue.
