No, but at level 6 any caps is a lot. Drink 5 Nuka colas for your money back.

ty and can u really get your money back?
Also does anyone know what the first caps price is for camp moving?
Crunchy cat Aug 8, 2023 @ 6:41pm
like how does the price work?

I believe it's based on how far it is from the previous spot.
Each nuka cola you drink gives you 1 cap so... sorta get your money back :steammocking: :VBCOOL:

Most it gets is up to 40-45 caps.

I get that you are moving it around to give you a home base. However, there is a "cheaper" and easier way. Every character gets 2 camp slots. Go to the upper left on the map and you will see the camp name, and an option to activate another camp. Activate Camp 2, build it where you are. Then when you want to go back to camp 1, just activate it and voila'. It's all unpacked and right where you left it.

It goes up each time you move, but maxes at like 40 or so. You can get more caps by selling trash items to vendors. Morgantown airport has scorched that drop a decent amount of items and the train station is nearby. A hint here - there will be a map in the station with all the train stations marked - click them to add them to your map.

I would not worry about caps at all. Doing quests will get you a lot and participating in public events also give you a lot of caps.

Just for the sake of clarification whilst this does allow you to freely switch between camps it will still cost caps to move either of those camps.

I have my first camp set up by The Wayward with my vendor; my second slot has all the essentials (crafting stations, stash, punch card ,etc.) set up on a small foundation that I can drop down pretty much anywhere and use mind if like a Survival Tent.

Making a point of unlocking all of the free fast travel points can also make a big difference - Vault 76 (default), Whitesprings, Crater, Foundation, Fort Atlas, Rusty Pick and Nuka World on Tour. Fast travel to teammates (including their camps and survival tents is also free as is fast travel to a claimed outpost (I claim them and throw down at least a stash box and a crafting station even if I'm not going to do anything else with them).

Get your camp established somewhere and start producing purified water. Make enough so that you have enough for yourself as well as plenty left over. Sell what you don't use to robot vendors. This will take care of any problems you have with needing caps as long as you keep your expenditures on the smaller side.
