cant collect mirelurk eggs to complete daily........... some upon toggle blow up

Can't find any, eggs disappear in front of you, you break them before you loot them?

some do breaking animation or blowing up anim.. but i dont collect anything from it
and some dont do anything

I had trouble doing it also, it was different, but jumping to different server and then I carefully did it while the little buggers bit me. But I did finish the task.

If event with mirelurk wont spawn you have another option, buy them: where? whitespring who? 2 npc vendors, one is the same whitespring vendor, the other is the cooking shop (the other robot who sells food).

Attention: They sell them at random, so be ready to server hop until got all 3, dont try to resell them or rebuy them, doesnt work (i tried it).

Apparently eggs breaking means they've already been picked up by other players, at least that's what I read about it.
In the end I didn't bother with server hopping and just rerolled, too annoying.

Doing the Mirelurk event at the Dam will get you eggs, and counts towards collecting them.

Ok, here's how it works; A player disturbs the eggs by getting too close. Some of the eggs explode letting out the Hatchlings that attack. The remaining egg or two are the ones that can be collected.

If a player has already disturbed the nest and collected the remaining eggs it takes time(maybe 30 minutes or more) for the eggs to do the first part of respawning, which is to just reappear as unbroken eggs. Then, it takes a little more time(not sure how long) for the new eggs to either refill a Hatchling or to become a complete egg that can be picked up.

Server hopping to find a fully respawned nest is all you can do. I suggest going to Ohio Riverboat Tours south of Billings Homestead and there are 3 or 4 nests around the curve of the river there. Just follow the river from just above the boat docks to just below them.

The key to this might be Power Armor.

I had a hell of a time last night. I kept getting eggs that would break without giving me anything. Finally I got out of my power armor and while the eggs still broke, I did manage to collect 3.

The best location for eggs are Highlands Marsh and the raider encampment that buys mirelurk type meat for rep/caps.

for me even off my PA i had the same as being on it and even with server hop didnt fix
