Jersey Blue Devil
How do you kill this thing. Rn into it alone south of Valley Galleria on the highway. I hit it with nuke grenades, grenade launcher , .50 cal, shotgun. Nothing even put a dent in it. Had to run away. Don't like running away.

lol ... , cryptid bullet sponge ... !!! They all have weak point (s) to aim and to save bullets ... .

And yeah, often, it's not worth the effort to take them down ... .

I have encountered the Jersey Blue Devil twice during Distant Thunder; both times were at the NAR Repair Yard. I have used a Vampire's Chainsaw, but it takes nearly a minute of sawing to put it down. No extra reward either.

Kinda like the Sheepsquatch. For the first few months I'd fight it and get 1 star knuckles or whatever. Now I just walk away.

I have run into a Blue Devil in the Toxic Valley and an Ogua at the repair yard and took both out without a single hit on me. They couldn't find me in stealth mode as I crouched on top of a building taking shots at them until dead. Like others have said, there wasn't any special reward so now I just avoid them.
I run into them pretty frequently when checking random encounter spawn spots for tamables. They are spongy, but I have not any issues killing them. I've been using my compound bow (B/50c/15) or my Elder's Mark (Q/50c/25) to take them out.

You are going to like its 60% health increase in the next patch (no more regenerating at 50%)

Lets say now it has 10000 health, well when you get it at 50% it will regenerate for a total of 15000 health, sometimes the server is slow so it could be higher

In the PTS it is going to have a flat 16000 health

Not a major change for those enemy types... and given poor server things probably an overall slight debuff to their effective health pool

REGULAR legendary enemies are going to go from say 1000 health and super easy for MOST players to outright kill before they can regenerate to 1600 health so it is a straight up massive BUFF to their effective health pool

I run into the turtles over in the swamps all the time. Never seen one more than 1 star though - definitely not worth the ammo for what they drop. I am happy there are finally some tougher mobs just wandering, though. It's an RPG aspect that really adds to the environmental immersion.

These enemies should be super rare in the open world and trigger an event when found by a player that attracts other players to the location. Oh and they should actually be worth killing.
