Base destroyed while offline

so i logged out a week ago, it was after the update, camp was fine , had just repaired everything i could. Logged in today to find it completely destroyed... did they add a decomposition rate to the base? There is no other reason it should have been destroyed when i wasn't even online . only serious responses needed.

You are something like the 4th person to say that this has happened to them in about a month just here on the forum that I have seen.

Did you log out literally straight after repairing your camp or was it some time later? If straight away maybe your save did not update properly?

Camps have a lot of bugs, this just seems to be another. Never had it happen to me as yet, but i'm sure it will one day.

few questions just in case we (forum) can help you with this

- where did you have your camp placed? (more or less)
- could it be that someone lauched a nuke and wrecked it? (to troll, goof or for the lolz or farm , for example in whitespings golf area)
- is it near enemy spawns? sometimes they can wreck your base
- do you have turrets? players can damage your base if the turrets shoot them
- did your entire base got destroyed? or only a "prefab"? if the prefab is destroyed, everything inside is destroyed but only requires you to "fix" the prefab
- Also, some players have a "tower camp" with turrets and use it to destroy other camps to troll (by targetting another player and dodging the missiles that hit your camp)

Ive played in Xbox and PC and never got my camp ramdomly destroyed there was allways a nuke, enemy or player

When you log off, your camp goes away and comes back when you log back on, though server is selected randomly but camp spots are same always. Otherwise other players could not build at same places. There is no decomposition rate either. Most likely it was a bug, enemies, other players or you logged out before progress was saved (saves occur at certain intervals or when you do quests).

I've had it happen. I went back to my base, scrapped my crap, then exit to desktop. Came back online the next day and the whole thing was destroyed. I suspect if you are in a party and you exit to desktop you are still online for a bit. Proof of that is if you get back on immediately then it say "play with party" instead of just play meaning you never logged off.

Best practice is to leave the team and then leave the server/game. If you are on a team and just quit to desktop or menu it can cause wonky things for you and your teammates.

i had this too. i was in my base, quit the game. then restarted and the entire base was destroyed. i had never before such a big error.
