Now I can't go look but the other 2 are called something like 'Master Science' and 'Advanced Science' or something, and I'm guessing you're trying to craft something that says you need level 1/2/3 'Science'
So even if you get those other science cards and put points into them you wont be able to craft the thing you want, you need the card that says exactly: 'Science'
(*Not a troll, this is real Science, and the earlier posters had the other possibilities covered already, so Potato to the rescue to handle those coffee spills..!)
Because certain cards only show in the list after certain amount has been picked.
If you select wrong card accidentally, you need to level up to pick new one etc. Also punch card machine becomes handy at level 25 which is at every train station and buildable at your camp too.
Before punch card machine became a thing, changing perk points was quite annoying,
you were able to change perk point to another stat one level at a time so respeccing was slow.
Fallout uses science! that is indistinguishable from magic.
Someone once said: "It just works."
If you can believe this, someone passed by my shack, told me to wait, and then made me a weapon called the fixer, which i believe is one of the best sniper rifles in the game, though i cant use it yet. The community here is extremely generous, so it also brings up the issue of what prices do i put to my own items in my vendor machine? I want to make a small profit but not overcharge, there's a lot to learn it seems
You're welcome. You can be sneaky in power armor, as certain power armor part legendary effect turns you almost invisible when standing still or crouching.
No idea if laser sniper rifle breaks your stealth or not when shot = enemies can find you more easily and shots do not inflict sneak damage. However i have little experience in stealthy power armor build. More experience with stealthy non power armor ballistic rifle user.
Yeah, most players are very friendly and i drop stimpaks, rad-x, radaway, ammo etc when i can. I wasn't able to do that earlier. You can often see on this forum that players call it as paying forward.
Fixer is very good yes and even better with right perks.
As for the vendor prices, maybe take some examples of what others sell and price your items for caps amount which you think is good. I used to sell items with their value divided by 4 and rounding decimals up to next number in my vendor.
Then i changed to value minus last number (if item value was let's say 980 or 1250 i sold it for 98 or 125 respectively). Now i just sell plans for 10 caps per plan (many players sell plans etc very cheap) but you can make much caps if you know what plan is rare and what price it usually go for.
I dont know how to leave a gift-box, maybe it's some kind of special action you have to buy with atoms? I was thinking of putting all my excess known plans for 0 caps in my vendor machine, so someone else can get them for free, maybe that will be a good idea.
Problem is, newer players dont seem to know that people's houses have vending machines, i know i didnt when i was level 5 or so, so im not sure how to get them to someone who actually needs them. I did put some free stuff up before, but it got bought by someone above 100 levels lol
A noble gesture.
And good luck with convincing a newbie to stand still while you give them stuff.
