Game freezing at sign in screen

I've been having a lot of trouble with the game freezing at the sign in screen. It'll spin for a second then lock and it you put any button and pop up will say fallout 76 isn't responding close program or wait for program to respond.

I've tried everything I can think of to fix this problem, has anyone else had this problem?

Hi, I had this issue and found it was because i had the game saved in an external hard drive instead of my SSD. I moved the game files through steam and it fixed the issue. You can also open FO76 and go into your task manager and set it's priority to High.

I just have it saved on my hard drive. I'll try making it priority and see if that fixes the problem. It use to do this from time to time but the pass week it's done it everything I've tried to play it. I even Uninstalled the game hoping it would fix it but it didn't

Would verify files. If that doesn't work, there's a mod to skip the whole thing. A friend still uses it. It 's amazing a whole game crashes down on an animated intro.

When you load in the game. Let the first few cut scenes play on. When you see the 3rd cut scene with the exhaust vent and ghouls click to sign in

Setting the game ad high priority seemed to fix the game
