For me UD is faster unless you get protect the depot. But I can solo everything except the boss battle at the end. As you pointed out, it’s a dps test and I fail. Last weekend I got in a team with some people and the leader was a beast, they lead it 5 times in a row, last time was 9 minutes in and done.
But you are correct in that AtF is easier solo. To be fair, it sounds like you know the maps, know the side objective locations. It’s just that the map and several of the objectives are just laid out in a manner non conducive to solo speed runs.
Pretty much this. Stuff is placed to be needlessly time consuming.
I wouldn't do it with a Plasma Caster. Despite how hard it can hit, it's fire rate and magazine capacity is too low.
A Power Armor (T-65) heavy gun build does the trick nicely. It's just that objective placement is deliberately asinine. The key for easy survival is usually having funky duds so you don't get wrecked by poison damage. Face tank everything.
Expeditions are indeed soloable, but like Von_Reese said it won't be a speed run in any way. I soloed it my first time but was unable to do it in under 10 minutes, and I did a full on Rambo Commando build.
