PS4 and PS5.
Xbox with whatever the last 2 models are called.
Microsoft store and Steam.
No crossplay between ecosystems.
As we know so far, has the devs mentioned of adding crossplay to all platforms in the future? or never going to happen?
Fallout 76 was used as a political football during those trials. Microsoft consider it a niche game with a small audience and got close to shutting it down.
They allowed it on PSNow to boost player numbers and show they shared. They added (quietly) 60fps to PS5 to show they won't limit performance on competitors hardware. They shared to counter the Starfield exclusive.
Now those trials are over and not much is standing in the way of the merger Microsoft doesn't need the FO76 football any more, they no longer have to worry about Sony's concerns.
What happens now is anyone's guess but you can be sure that Sony isn't considered in a game Microsoft doesn't consider core to their business.
So, this is how this game will continue? -------->
But will we play nice together?
