Build in someones camp?

I was playing with a friend the other day and noticed that I can enter buildmode in their camp, however I can't build anything
This got me thinking, can I somehow build a camp for them? Is there like an option that needs to be enabled?
If yes, can I use my own plans or it has to be theirs? And am I using my materials or theirs?

you can only build in private party , to start one both of you have to be out of party , and use social to invite each otcher.
i don't remember if you use your's or his/her/it resources but you use you'r own plans.

You are correct, and the person in build mode uses their resources.

There are two restrictions on building in someone else’s camp. First the visitor can only move, change, delete, items that they built. They cannot move, change, or delete items the camp owner built. Secondly, the visitor cannot build items that were atom shop purchases or scoreboard rewards.

Tried to build in my wife's camp recently. Could only build the default stuff you have when you just get out of the vault. Even while both our characters have A LOT of plans unlocked. Did something change?

someone placed 20 aquarium tv in my camp when in private party
i don't have tht plan, but i wwanted 4x4 aqua -vision tubes in my lounge
that means a wall of the same sht netflix provides

if you are a minimalist architect ... it's an excellent challenge

You can repair some things in another person's camp. I fix turrets if they are broken.

I built a Decontamination shower in my husband's camp couple years ago. We both were on private worlds at that time. I pretty sure if you got the plans within wastelands.You can build the item in someone's camp.

i'm not sure there's a list what can be build in private team at player's camps
i have most (95% i'm sure) if someone ever wants to figure that out with me

what bizarreman said probably is correct today, but there were instances x-time ago where it was possible to place atom-shop related objects at other's camps

If you build at someone else's camp you use you own materials, I built a decontamination shower at my mates base, it uses several flux of a few types, he had now flux but I did, so that told me it uses my materials to build at his camp. Hope this helps y'all
