Found complete set of Raider Power Armour

Sooo, a new random encounter has been added...at least. this is the first time I've seen it and I have been playing for a few seasons...
Complete set of Raider Power Armour standing all by it's own...just waiting for someone to take it...
That's it. No spoilers....just a nice fun addition...just take it for a drive :-)

You get free raider PA set from Rose's quest and many just drop it.

Happened to me also, seems just as I attained lev 15 :) (my very first char.), go figure. With the right legendary's on it, it can be quite a good armor to use until at least level 25.

I just found 2 sets of Power Armor sitting by them selves near the first town one had a full set of T60 Armor the other had 3 pieces of Raider Armor one was floating like 6feet in the air I took the Armor but couldn't take the piwersuit because I still yet to find any power cores

I apparently found this Raider Armor set a long time ago. It sat in my stash as a zero weight frame, until recently I decided to examine it, and surprise!

There are several quests that gift you with complete sets of Power Armor. Dumping the frame right in to your inventory.

When initially gifted, the frame (and armor) weigh 0 pounds. As soon as you deploy and collect it, the weight goes up to the standard 10 pounds.

wellll.....something different about this armour :-) no legendary stuff and not part of Rose's quest line...just a little thing to make me smile for about 5 seconds....
So...if you see a complete set of non legendary PA...try it on :-)

You can enter power armor without a core just move slow af, but you can jump back out then claim it and store it until you do get a core

You can enter power armor without a core just move slow af, but you can jump back out then claim it and store it until you do get a core

It wouldn't let me jump in it can't remember what it said but I just couldn't jump in and move it so I just figured I needed a power core so I just took the armor and left it might be I'm only lvl 12 so far

The armor pieces were too high a level and were still on the suit when you tried to enter. When that happens take all the armor pieces like you did then jump into the suit. Level 1's can enter an empty suit. I drop them off frequently at vault 76

There was a spot, not building, where the raider power armor would spawn. It is by itself so you can't fast travel. Middle of map if I recall.

The one floating in air was probably standind on someone's survival tent, and then they logged off.

By the way, if you take the frame it will weigh 10 lbs in your inventory, regardless of whether it has any parts on it at all. Empty or full, it weighs the same. So always take a frame, and put parts onto the frame. Then pick it up (or allow it to return to your inventory). Even if you can't use the parts, it's a great way to carry or store the parts, since they will just weight 10 lbs fixed while on the frame.

Adding to this line.

If you find a suit that has pieces too high for you to wear.

Remove the pieces.
Enter the frame.
Exit the frame.
Put the pieces back on the frame.

Wait 90 seconds and the frame will be returned to your inventory. You can't wear it, but you can carry it.

Pieces weigh up to 12 pounds each. But pieces stored on a frame wear "nothing" as long as the frame is being stored.

:-) So, just to explain a bit more...something happens when you get in the armour.....

The first time I found that PA it had a bug where the Raider body was hanging out of the fusion core hole. It was as if the Raider had put their head in and got stuck.

I thought that was how it was meant to be. Wasn't till later I I realised it was just a bug.
