I think it's because of all the mods on it, my gatling plasma is 28.8 with mods on it and without bear arms perks. Boomstick got quad barrels with the special sight. It's perfecly normal.

Weight reduction doesn't impact mods, just the base item.

For many guns 90% reduced weight effect is kinda pointless as it does not do anything for mods. They still are full weight. For guns that either don't have many mods or don't need them it is an ok effect. Much better to have weapon weight reduction on your armour as it applies to the whole gun weight.

My bloodied FFR flamer with 90% reduced weight is the same. Add some mods and it goes to well over 30 weight even with the effect.
