About play the game Solo Mode
Hi guys, Im a big fan of Fallout, and I know that this game in particular is, maybe mostly to play with friends and other people, but I also read that people play the game on their own, like they were playing a singleplayer game. I always prefer to play the Fallout games on singleplay mode, so, my question for the veterans here is:

Is possible to play the whole game, main quests, secondary quests, events, ops etc, in solo mode? or you just can play the main and secondary quests but in the events you need the help of a team? Can I get all the same stuff, gear, weapons etc like people that play in group, playing solo?

I'll be waiting for the replies of the most veterans over here, I know you are a lot, thank you guys

You can solo most of stuff in game, but this game is meant to be played with other people, and it's much more efficient to play with others.
You can solo singleplayer content like quests, but this is just introduction to F76, because here everything is about public events, and as a new player you wont be able to finish them solo. There is no reason to fear playing F76 online with random people, because F76 has great community and imagine I faced toxic people only twice, and I've played F76 for like 3000 hours accumulated.

Oh, I forgot to mention - to play it "solo" without other people arround you need to pay for Fallout 1st subscription, which cost about 15 EUR per month (price vary depending on country where you live)
Only with premium subscription you can run private server.

This isn't your zypical standard "Open World PvP Survival Game". Thankfully the playerbase rejected that premise and stuck to the game as a Fallout game, just eith other people.

So have no fear. Go out there, meet some people, you'll no doubt have a good time. Who knows, maybe you'll find a power-armored badass who will walk with you and kill anything that looks at you funny.

what type of solo is what you need to figure out
pure solo is no teammember
then there's a type of rogue solo playstyle (you just join public teams for specific occasions )

must say
pure solo is a bigger challenge
the default is to team-up

but anyway try it

and you don't need F1 tbh
consider the other players as npcs on your journey

As others have said, the multiplayer aspect is really not that big of a deal. You are not forced into anything, and the worst you will have to put up with is people stealing/sabotaging your captured resource "generators," and destroying your base(s).

I haven't played in a year, so...

To answer your questions. You can solo the entire Story, up until the very last boss. I believe the last boss is a giant bat thing that is open to everyone to join in on. Not a big deal, you don't lose anything.
(I cannot remember if a certain crafting material needed to upgrade your armor/armaments was locked behind multi play)

Secondary stuff isn't the same as the other Fallout games but, you should be able to get through most of it on your own.

All the end game content is locked behind multiplayer grinding. End game content is essentially all the "good" stuff. The good stuff would enable you, with enough time, to solo the rest of the secondary content, I believe.

Please, correct me if i am wrong.

You can do all of the quests and events solo. If, and I'm going to repeat myself, IF, you grind your behind off to get the correct equipment and practice. You are going to fail many times until you get them down pat.

It's much more fun to do these events with a team and lots of people.

said "endgame" is not "good stuff" part of F76, in reality endgame is about grinding same events all over and all over again and rerolling legendaries as much as you can, to get that perfect 3* items, which is totally RNG and limited by daily limits. Same thing apply to end-game gear blueprints you buy for gold.
Best time is first ~200 hours of F76.
And about crafting materials, yes, a lot of end game stuff require you to farm end game events for materials. New player is unable to solo these events, even most of end game players dont know how to solo nuke-events. From my observations most of lvl1000+ players still dont know how to make proper build with proper armor/weapon legendary combinations.

the games big enough and the game population on servers is usally low enough that you can play without seeing many people if you say outta event area's, and or just leave if you see someone, most people don't try to interact except for a wave or a free gift if they see you at a camp.

my first time through the game i played solo and had fun, but it is way more fun with people and doing events will help you progress levels.

As a big fan of Fallout series, I was playing solo F76 for 500 hours. Then moved from Bethesda Launcher to STEAM and discovered all the great people from community here.
Story has ended for me, Wastelanders as well (The Pitt - 2 missions with nothing to remember)... but I like everyday chase after different LEGENDARIES and different builds with different PERKS... Don't expect STORY to be richer or better then F4... there is no WTF here to enjoy. Just bare Fallout game, still waiting for it's glory to come.

I'm glad the fan base is awesome, I cannot stand mmo genre due to the toxicity but I had no sooner stepped out of the vault when I was greeted by players, given a buttload of plans and other equipment. You all rock so bloody hard.
