My graphics are max, fullscreen with ipresentinterval=0 I am running a 10700k, 3090 ti and 16GB 3466MHZ RAM
I also have my controller disconnected from my PC.
A new thing I saw on internet is to use windows borderless. I am going to change that right now. Fullscreen might be bugging especially when you hit launch game and the game starts behind steam. That is one problem I have noticed mine doing.
Something wireless? Headphones/mouse?
I use wireless headphones Logitech G903, but i still had freezes before installing LGS. It can be default windows drivers for bluetooth/wifi devices, i dont know.
I remember i played on my old PC a few years ago and there were no freezes. Maybe some update broke the game for some PC configs.
Also ...check for graphic artefacts, monitor GPU, CPU, VRAM, DRAM temperatures for a bit.... maybe something is heating up or is dying ...
Didn't have freezes like this since when it would freeze during the login stage after just starting. That stopped for like a month, now its doing this which is more annoying. And it feels like its the same kind of thing as that previous freeze, only now it happens after being in game for a while first.
What I'm going to try to do is:
Start the game, load into a server, then just quit to desktop and load in again.
I'll try this for a week or so and see if I get no crashes after playing on a second load up.
Still wont be able to trouble shoot really but at least its a weird work around.
What in know is this game is the only one which makes me trouble like this. I played RDO Battlefield X and other online games with no probs at all.
Only thing which sometimes works for me is to change the server till you find a lag free. Thing is, some got this probs and some not. I sometimes watch LPers on Youtube or Streamer on Twitch playing without any porblems like that.
You can also try:
-completely whitelisting fallout exe from youre firewall/AV Scanner.
-Open Ports on your router
-Set game exe to high priority in Taskmanager
There should be no reason to open ports on your router for this game, you are not hosting anything from your computer and all that would do is expose you to security risk for no reason.
If you are randomly doing this for programs and games you need to stop and think about what youre doing.
I'm sorry those things just don't make sense. Don't take it as an attack on you, but really it's very simple, if you don't truly understand how computer networking works, please just don't try to give advice about it. It doesn't make you less of a person, it's just basic logic.
You are potentially advising people to weaken their computer security when there is no reason to for this game. Nothing in this game needs to let people from the internet directly access your computer, whyever their game started working better it was not because inbound ports were opened on the firewall or router. This is only dangerous advice in this case.
