**also, make sure you have bloody mess, of course. Then there are temporary buffs such as magazines or bobbleheads as well
It depends on what you farm more. Mines take nuclear waste while grenades require the colas. If you know where they spawn it's much easier to incorporate collecting colas and frags so that's more likely at later level, grind heavy players. Nuclear material can usually be found just my using energy weapons but otherwise it's much more of a hassle than cola farming.
So, if you wanna go this route it's a lot more difficult since mines don't have the range of grenades. Also mines can be picked up by other players and you can only have two active at a time - a third mine causes the first to detonate, which permits for a fun "Gingerbread Man" style of combat. You can't really spam with mines like you can with grenade-launchers, fat men, missile launchers, etc, but you can certainly regret your component waste later if you want to.
Aluminum, frag grenade, and a cola are the price of a grenade.
2 circuitry, 3 copper, 3 lead, 3 nuclear material, 5 screws, and 10 steel for a mine.
Always equip Super Duper to reduce the hefty cost of crafting either single use item and crafting in bulk has shown to increase production.
*Another excellent explosives type is Pulse, but it won't have the radius you're looking for.
